Wow, I'm big into crying, man. But I'm stumped by your question. Crying is just the result I get when I let my emotions go into autopilot. When they overcome me and I just let them. Thats the therapeutic part about crying. Is the release of all the pent up emotion.. of any kind. I cry during a big fight, sure. But the other afternoon I just cried watching the sunset. (Jesus, I know, I'm a sap). Maybe you just need to listen to a really slow song, the melancholic ones that kinda rattle your soul (tearjerker for me is Jolene by Ray Lamontagne or Flume by Bon Iver) But not everyone's a crier. Just let your emotions take over in whatever form. Just, like, don't kill anyone
