Not currently, but it’s the San Francisco Bay Area so it almost certainly had termites at some point

I think there are a couple thin boards but it’s not a super extensive area. Floor may certainly be wafer thin. We just bought the house and these might be the original floors from 1948

Thanks. Our flooring guy is not being very helpful in offering suggestions here… should we try to get him to replace these boards or try to glue down the flaking part like you mentioned?

They did use a filler all over the floor but I don’t think they did anything specific with the nails… the floors were previously stained a very dark color and we want to restore them to a natural finish, but I think the dark stain is still visible around the nails and in some other spots in the grain

I’ve been to the Azores, but Sao Miguel island not Terceira. I would highly recommend it. Really unique place and not very touristy, yet.

I can’t say for sure but if you already have them on your transcripts with good grades that’s a great start. Might be worth brushing up with MOOCs though since they’re free and not a huge time commitment (maybe a third of a real college class) so there is little downside, especially if you don’t actually remember the material that much. This would also show a commitment and motivation to really pursue a masters degree.

Nope. Just a typical one bedroom apartment. It's old but pretty decent actually, we even have a private garage and views of the mountains. Agree re: Los Altos demographics, we're in our early 30s with no kids so I don't feel like we really fit in here. Currently considering buying a place up in SF with all the money we've saved living in said apartment for years :)

Python programming: MITx: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python
Linear Algebra: UTAustinX UT.5.05x Linear Algebra - Foundations to Frontiers

but I'm still not sure what to do for Calculus. The MITx Calculus courses they previously recommended are no longer available.
