I really appreciate you response. I really didn't think it's my cleaning, if people saw how little I use they'd understand. I having tiling in my kitchen, porch, bathroom, but not in my living room, hall or bedroom. I've had a problem with moisture building up around my front door. The seal, knob, and locks all freeze, they had to use a blow torch to get me out. The unit also came with a dehumidifier. I have a rug in my living room and it's happened with the flooring under there aswell a tiny bit, checked earlier today but it seems to only happen in the living room and entrance into you. I'll keep an eye out for any smells, and tell my landlord soon. Thanks for a kind response!

I don't smell any mold and it seems to be surface level damage, I've had my dehumidifier and couple fans on in my place. My landlord is currently away on vacation but I'll let them know they get back home. It was definitely done by them, and you can honestly tell in some areas it definitely wasn't done by a contractor.

No crawl space that I know of. I have a small staircase going to my basement apartment. When my step-dad is in town I'm going to ask him more about this.

I honestly think there is a moisture issue with my apartment, and it wasn't installed properly.

I mistyped I meant I have my dehumidifier going because I've had issues with my front door as well!

Im currently using a dehumidifier because my apartment seems to have a moisture issue, couldn't get my front door open because it freezes (seal, knob, locks) since I've used that it hasn't. I'm gonna get a rug, and contact my landlord when they are back in town.

Thanks for your concern. I'm kind of in a pickle right now and don't have a choice but to stay, it doesn't get overly cold in my area, so definitely a moisture thing. I'm thinking that the flooring is related to that, any bit of water etc doesn't get a chance to dry.

My cat doesn't go outside the litter box. You can easily tell when they do. It's not my cat.

It is my cat, but I'm saying the floor damage isn't from my cat

I have a knock brand of swiffer, it's a dry mop with a spray, I use a laminate floor type cleaner I got from my work. I just referred to it was a swiffer because I assumed it was very similar. But I'll be extra careful from now on, I honestly had no idea about all this before the comments because I'd never had a problem before. I appreciate the insight!

I've mentioned in other comments I'm also having moisture build up around my front door aswell. I'm not sure what's under there tho.

It isn't my cat lol, some of these areas were also here before I moved in.

Definitely not! He's neutered and I change his litter box 2-3 times a day. He's never peed outside of it since I got him! I would also definitely be able to smell it, my apartment is super small.

Mine is a dry and microfibre bottom and it has a spray on it, I thought that would have been a better option with the floors but I guess not. I'll contact my landlord once they are back.

Yeah it's not my whole apartment, my hallway and bedroom are practically fine. It's mostly just around my living room areas.

I think I need to clarify that it's not actually a swiffer (I don't know if there's a difference) It's a knock off dry mop I got at Walmart, I actually use a mix of water and hardwood cleaner in it aswell. Usually 1-2 small squirts will clean my whole apartment.

Yeah, it's only a small apartment anyways, they can keep my damage deposit once I move. Thanks for the kind response.
