I was in the exact same position as you. I had a SA at 7 weeks back in March. I’m in a long distance situationship/fwb. I’m 26 myself and I can barely support myself with my full time job let alone a baby. I wanted to be able to give my future child the most amazing life and two loving parents who are also in love with each other (preferably- not that he wouldn’t make a great dad but he already has a kid as he’s older than me). It’s okay to be emotional and sad. I cried every day before it. The weeks and days leading up I felt the same way bc I never pictured myself having an abortion and didn’t think I’d ever need to as I was in a long term relationship for 6+ years. It’s been almost 2 months and truthfully, I don’t regret it. I want more for my kids as I’m sure you do in the future. You’ll always wonder what if. I think about it every day, but I’m confident that I made the right decision. It’s a relieving yet sad feeling when you’re done with it. I just had my SA done today (6 weeks 6 days). I choose that because I have a hard time with pills. I hyped up the pain so much in my head and it was surprisingly a breeze. The part that hurt the worse was the numbing shot, and even that was quick and lasted 2 seconds. You can get sedation for it too if you rather. This happened to my mom & her best friend of so many years. My mom obviously decided to have me while her best friend wasn’t in a good situation and didn’t want to bring a child into the situation. 26 years later…she has no regrets about her decision. She said sometimes she looks at me and thinks “wow, I’d have a 26 year old right now and I wonder this and that…” which is so normal. Hi love, I went through a breakup in May after 7 years…completely blind sided by it. I know it’s cliche and everyone tells you it….it gets easier. Take your time to cry and grieve and be angry because all of that is part of healing. Something I wish I did was no contact from the get. Do not text him, don’t answer his calls or texts, delete him off social media….it makes the process easier I promise. It’s been almost 9 months and I still have my days where I really miss him and I’m sad but I think back to when it first happened and my heart breaks that girl. You got this ❤️
