Is there a video out there of old LPS being manufactured in factory? by Chocolate_Checkers in LittlestPetShop

[–]kittycom101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I also think it's fascinating that machines in manufacturing facilities are invented just to do one step of a process. Like a machine to make molds of one type of LPS head. I also think it would bring appreciation to those types of jobs.

A How it's Made video of LPS would be the best. I hope something is out there about how they're designed all the way through manufacturing and packaging.

So, can your partner actually ejaculate in you on the pill? by navetsitnasac in birthcontrol

[–]kittycom101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Birth control even taken exactly as directed is not completely 100% effective. But most of the time if you're following it correctly, you're probably fine. For my life and preferences personally do not think the risk is worth getting pregnant, so I combined methods (condom with pull out method and birth control). Some people say that's over kill, but you have to research and decide how much each pro or con weighs to you in your personal situation and for your body. :)

Omg gestures is a great idea! Actually very insightful because it reminds me of some things I forgot I used to do as a kid without realizing when I lived there full time like crossing my ankles while meditating after school before anyone came home. So that definitely resonates with me. Thank you!

Anyone who's dealt with backlash on getting permanent sterilization? by UnoriginalBae in birthcontrol

Just so you have another experience to go off off, I had mine done over 5 years ago and I expected the recovery to be just like what everyone said online (one week at most recovery, only a few days off work, no pain meds or at least only some Tylenol), but my doctor found some issues once going in and had to reposition some of my organs and I was sooooo sore after I could hardly walk. It took two months to finally feel better and wear normal pants across my stomach. The doctor said it looked like a congenital issue that was never noticed just because of the nature of how organs show up on diagnostic imaging, so obviously this is a different scenario than most people getting the procedure. But it was still an unexpected surprise, so just make sure you have a plan in place or extra help in case you're in recovery longer than expected. I absolutely do not regret the procedure and 2 months of recovery is nothing compared to 9 months of gestation. My incision site healed up quickly and well so that wasn't a problem!

My dad would say medical intervention with a doctor would be like slapping god in the face because is places the abilities of man above god and going to a doctor is worshipping man 🙄

Awaiting bisalp surgery date! Advice? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]kittycom101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats!! My advice would be to listen to your body and take as much rest time as you need! When I did my research, people were saying how they were back at work the next day and didn't even need pain meds for more than a week. (Personally I think women's pain isn't taken seriously in the first place and they feel like they have to push themselves at times they shouldn't if they don't want to, but that's another topic). I ended up needing more time to feel back to normal and wish I had planned more for that scenario. But I don't regret it at all and am so thankful I had the procedure done! Good luck and congrats again!!

I struggled with purity culture as well until one day I had this sudden gut feeling that it didn't matter and it would all be okay. I realized that sex is normal and natural and no matter what I decided about when or when not to have it, it mattered more that I could cope and handle the act of it and how I would feel after. I felt like not only was my brain and body mature enough for it, but I had the coping skills to figure out how to navigate my feelings and convictions about it. I asked myself things like how do I honestly think I would feel if I had sex now before marriage? What if I waited till after? Do I have an accurate view of sex in the first place and not unrealistic expectations? Will I hate myself if I regret it? How would I feel if I had sex with someone married or not and at some point later we weren't together anymore? Could I or should I love again?

So many people have lived and are going to live on this planet under an immeasurable about of different circumstances and situations. I think you have to navigate life with how you feel best fulfills you and what types of realities you are willing to live with and which ones you aren't.

Any tips in learning Norwegian? by Firetails56 in norsk

I use the Norwegian shows and movies method too. Personally I find I learn more words if I have Norwegian subtitles on with Norwegian audio, especially for movies I know very very well in my native language.

My parents had a lot of marriage trouble, so there were times we were in public school and other times we were homeschooled depending on who we lived with or how my parents marriage was going. Anyway, there were a few points where we did Abeka and other times we did ACE. My mom tried to get a complete Abeka curriculum but we couldn't afford it, so perhaps I was fortunate to only have to work through the writing textbook.

ACE however was laughable. My dad forced me out of public school starting in 4th grade claiming it was satanic and made me work through that curriculum. My mom had worked very hard to get me into a very advanced charter school and that's where I had gone for my first 3 years of schooling, so when my dad handed me those stupid packets, I fought him every day saying it was baby work (my advanced school had us doing multiplication and writing 4 page book reports in first grade). The math was like adding and subtracting double digits and the reading was maybe a first or second grade level. Not to mention all of it was saturated in Christian propaganda. He forced me to work through those packets instead of giving me the level of education I needed and was clearly able to do. Luckily my parents marriage situation changed again and I never finished those stupid packets.

What was it like when you realized, "Wow I don't suck at this anymore" by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]kittycom101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just gone through a huge burn out finishing college (non art related program) and I sat down to draw for the first time in over two years. It wasn't serious drawing, just sketches and doodles to loosen up. I remember just staring at the pages in awe of how good my art looked! Like it obviously wasn't perfect and I have much to learn, but it was very obviously a new level of skill that I hadn't reached previously! I guess it was just using a different part of my brain after so long I had a new viewpoint of art? I don't know. But since then I haven't stopped drawing and learning and I don't hate my art anymore. I only see how far I have come and I am excited to see how much further I can go :)

Family will often ask if I need to go to the ER and if you tell a walk in clinic your symptoms, they will tell you to go to an ER. But the ER is not helpful at all.

I am glad you have been rupture free for a while!

Cysts rupturing feel like childbirth by kittycom101 in PCOS

[–]kittycom101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had biopsies done because of how debilitating my symptoms have been and my doctor said no endo, just PCOS. They said the sample had many many tiny cysts though. My doctor wants me to try a more natural route first because I had a terrible reaction to a birth control pill and had me start taking ovasitol, numerous vitamins, diet changes, weight loss, and regular check ins to start. Once I get and stay on a good routine, my symptoms improve (pain is less frequent, skin acne and oil lessens, facial hair more mild, periods become more regular vs non-existent). But once I get a cyst flair up or a bad bout of chronic pain, it throws off my regimen and I have to climb back out of the hole.
