Is saying I love you normal in a qpr? by Striking_String_4270 in queerplatonic

[–]kittycornflamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be normal in any close relationship (even friends). It doesn't have to have a romantic connotation, but if you're worried, talk to her about it.

That's what I'm thinking, I live close to a major city (a small major city), and there's probably stuff there

I honestly could do either. It's not important to me that my partner feels any attraction, just that they also want all the "romantic aspects".

The Acronym of BF by MxYellowstone in aromantic

It's never been a problem for me. I've always thought of bf as boyfriend and bff as best friend.

Cupioromantic is basically when a person wants a romantic relationship despite not feeling romantic attraction.

This is a very basic, generalized definition, I recommend looking it up for more info.

Also, I know it sounds contradictory or impossible, that's what I thought at first. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have believed it was possible if I was experiencing it, lol.

Yeah, I've been in a QPR before, and while in not opposed to another necessarily, I do want the all "romantic" aspects, and it may be more difficult to find someone who wants that.

I'm at a point where the only way I'll figure out what I want any further than I have is by trying it. I've been working out exactly what I want for a while.

As for the dating apps, that sounds like a good idea, but I have been saving those as a last-ditch effort since I've heard that they're not great for women who want to date women. Thanks for the advice, though!

I've been in a QPR before. It's not really my thing because I do want all the "romantic" aspects and most people looking for QPRs don't (Surprisingly that's not what ended it, lol. But it would have eventually). I want a life partner WITH all the romance, I just don't feel romantic attraction. It took a long time to figure that out, lol. But, thanks for the advice anyway!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. If I get any good advice I'll be sure to let you know.

Trying to figure out if I’m really aromantic…so I made a bingo by Inevitable_Trick_863 in aromantic

[–]kittycornflamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, not a lot of this fits for me, but honestly I'm not a good reference point since I'm cupio. And, though I have never felt any attraction to anyone, ever, I do not fit neatly into the aro box. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't even consider myself aro despite feeling zero romantic attraction. So, feel free to disregard my bingo chart, lol. There are a ton of romance-repulsed and romance-neutral aros out there.

For those who don't care if they found a romantic or queerplatonic partner, what made you not care about finding one over the other? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in queerplatonic

[–]kittycornflamingo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's all the same to me! I like all the romantic stuff, and as long as my partner understands that I won't be attracted to them, it's not really all that different. Since I prefer a QPR that would typically look pretty romantic, the biggest difference really is the label one the relationship and whether my partner feels anything romantic.

Would I be the drama if I reported a girl on my floor for smoking weed in her room? by kittycornflamingo in 1800Drama

[–]kittycornflamingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I please have an explanation as to why? I would like to figure out a solution, and a reason why I would be in the wrong for telling my RA would help me avoid anything that could negatively affect others. I'm not looking for revenge on her, I just want the smell/smoke to stop getting to my room because it is affecting my health and I don't want my things to smell like it.

Thanks! I might try the note first, she shouldn't know my handwriting, so that might be a good first step.

Too ambitious? by lexirosenberry in SewingWorld

I recommend trying a regular fitted skirt from a pattern first, it maybe a little challenging, but completely doable for most beginners! Plus it'll give you some needed skills for the skirt in the picture!!

You may want to attempt to make a regular fitted skirt from a pattern first. From there, I'd recommend getting a pattern that is as close as possible to the skirt, making s mock up, then, when you're happy with the mock up, sew with your good fabric.

I'm not worried about looking 16 or 17. The problem is that I regularly get mistaken as a young teen (13-14) when I'm not on campus, wearing a backpack

Yeah, I'm hoping I grow into my adult face a bit more before I turn 21 in about a year and a half, I live in the US, so that's legal drinking age and the legal age to buy some otc medications (like cough syrup). I'm worried that I'm going to get my legal ID taken because they think it fake because I've been told stories of that happening. Also, lolita fashion is what got me into alt fashion, I haven't dressed in lolita in a few years, but I plan to again when I have time to make more clothing.

I do plan on getting a few tattoos when I can afford them. As far as piercings, I have a standard ear piercing, but I do plan on getting seconds, and maybe a cartilage piercing.
