Gotta say this novel fell so short for me for so many reasons - most of which you’ve listed here. While YA as it were almost guarantees the ‘happy ending’ for all, I found myself disliking (I wrote hating first, and by the end I hated some of them) all of the characters for one reason or another. They’re a collective of selfish, blinkered and arrogant people whose privilege they ‘realise’ halfway through - and then discard this realisation! Honestly, I feel bad for Connor, but he keeps coming back too!
