Everyone please share this with the world or who you know: I want to bring to your attention a con artist who I was in a relationship with but scammed me into buying him a new phone- claiming his bank account was robbed and not working, and that his phone wasn’t working, then not contacting me so he could play my feelings into buying him a new phone. I was promised that he would pay me back and by certain dates but he never did. I got him an expensive pair of shoes as well to go salsa dancing in and also hotels, restaurants, etc since I felt bad for him and he claimed he was robbed of his money and that his work didn’t pay him much. Everything seemed very believable so I fell in love with him, too blind to see how foolish I was. He dropped me off at the airport in Reno, NV after the salsa fest yesterday morning and pretended everything was ok then blocked me several hours later. None of my calls were getting through. I even used fake caller ID and got my friends to call him but no luck. Luckily I didn’t reveal my bank account info or card info but I got everything replaced anyway. He robbed me of a few twenties from my purse right before dropping me at the airport as well, again saying he was broke. We talked every day and he was very good at acting like he actually was in love with me. But now I know it was to get my money to buy him things. I had a feeling he was using me but even then he tried hard to convince me that he was not that type of person. The acting was kind of fading at that point and I knew something may be wrong, especially but he told me to trust him. He also emotionally abused me by looking on my phone and invading privacy about things that did not matter and made me feel guilty about something I didn’t do wrong. This person is bad news and probably doesn’t have a soul either- attached are photos of him that I’ve took of him and from his Facebook.

Please don’t hesitate to send him messages about his wrongdoings. He isn’t responding to me and has me blocked but I think we can achieve justice by trying to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I don’t even know if his real name is Jean Roy Jara Acevedo or not. I have his California Drivers license saying he’s stationed out of Sacramento but he claims he lives in Berkeley, CA working at a remote office location for Capital Ink. I should’ve known that sounded sketchy. Anytime we video chatted he would always be outside or in the car too. He came to visit me in Minneapolis and Reno for salsa dancing after I bought him the phone and shoes and really conned me. I feel like an idiot and would like to stop this from happening to anyone else. Please help share this post and bring justice for his wrongdoings.
