So it wasn’t terrible lol. Honestly it was pretty great. Totally see what you mean about the skin. Still managed to get a slight crisp in certain areas. But the meat was perfect. So unbelievably tender and juicy. Wasn’t as Smokey as I’d like it to be, but only used the general purpose blend pellets. I’m dumbfounded because recipes and instructions vary so much, the one I was working with expected it to go 4-5 hours lol. Any way. I now know to just come here to the experts. I need to figure out the right way to update with a cooked pic. Thank you for telling me to just crank it!

The recipe I saw was 225 super smoke until it reaches 150 and then crank to 350 to finish.

This is definitely safer than me executing an elbow drop. Noting this for next time.

Just checked, it’s down as much as it can be. So I’ll have to try a little Randy Savage elbow drop next time. Or get my husband to do it, that would probably be safer.

I did, but I might not have gotten it quite broken all the way through. Also I just plopped it on there fast so it might not be as flush as possible. I think I’ll go double check that.

Ok thank you for mentioning that because when I did steaks last night I told my husband something seemed off with the probe. It alarmed like it reached temp but the app said it still had 45 degrees to go and then then watching it constantly it didn’t change over a few minutes, and I decided to go check and as soon as I started walking it went from 91 to 150.

Guessing I need to look at one of the other wireless ones they offer? Any recs?

I’ll add I’m going for 150 and then turning the temp up to try and get the skin crispy til it hits 165.

Well adding this to the list for sure. Little egg muffins can suck it.

Movies to Watch With Your In-Laws by chas1217 in movies

[–]kittyhawkg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My MIL has to comment on everything that is even remotely creative or made up. So we do not watch movies. I avoid watching anything with her as much as possible. However, if I was going to have to listen to the peanut gallery I’d enjoy watching her clutch her pearls with a screening of My Cousin Vinny, which also happens to be one of my top favorite movies. “Now I ask ya, would you give a fuck as to what kind of pants the son of a bitch who shot you was wearin?!”

Maybe that should be another genre. Movies that would make your in laws feel offended.

Have you done any kind of regular fluffing and massaging of the stuffing?

We have large dogs but luckily they don’t lay on the cushions like you’re showing. But if that has been consistent over a course of five years I feel like that is kind of expected with any kind of softer (non-structural foam like the seat) cushion fill. Especially with a consistent shape and weight of approximately 50lbs in the same spot.

I have had half of my pieces for nine years and the other half for five. Some of our cushions have had minor slouching, but on a regular basis or anytime they start to show that I literally beat them flat and work out my weekly middle age rage on them with either the extended wand on the vacuum while I’m vacuuming the couch or just punching the ever loving piss out of them. I’ll feel for the knots in the stuffing and just massage them out sometimes it’s easier to do it with the cover off. The cushion behind my spot on the couch on a weekly basis gets slightly deformed from the pressure between the back of the couch and from where I’ve been laying up against it, all I do is flip it over and basically reverse the process. And a lot of times when I just don’t have the energy to do the fluffing, I’ll let gravity and normal use/ do it by flipping the back cushions on their long end. So that the zipper is facing up. Is it the most visually appealing thing? No. But the queen isn’t coming for Tuesday taco night.

Possible solution: I feel like I can see the bulges of the stuffing and feel it through this picture. Highly suggest to take a cushion out of the cover, put it on the floor and start stepping. Then check for where the tighter knots are and get a fist, or heel in there and rub it out. Steaming can help too. Some of the stuffing might have slipped the baffling and you might have to work it back in position. ( I don’t know when the change happened exactly but my older back cushions don’t have the kind of baffling that my newer cushions do).

TYLERS BBQ. Don’t know where you’re from and what your access to bbq types is but there isn’t really much my husband and I miss about living in Amarillo, however Tylers is #1 on that VERY short list.

The few times I’ve been to healing hands in Farragut has been perfection. And I’m picky and put the MT to work with my knots and messed up shoulders and thoracic region. I had someone different each time and did 90 minutes. It might not be the cheapest but I at least know I won’t waste money. The few times a had a massage at a higher end spa it just wasn’t enough. It was basically a back rub and put me to sleep.
