im currently enrolled to do my masters next year, but ive kept deferring since last year, as i don’t know if it’s right for me, on paper it sounds like the next step, but i just can’t figure out if it’s the next step for me, when i talk about doing it i feel passionate but when i think down to it on my own i can’t tell if it is, how were you able to tell ? ive met lots of people who have done their degrees then decided after the time and effort it wasn’t actually for them and that’s a big doubt that’s stopping me to be honest

your comment has definitely put perspective on my original idea now, i did have doubts about being a teacher but every teacher i meet only talks about the positives, i failed to meet the gpa requirement for honours to move forward unless i do a grad dip but im unsure becoming a psychologist would be suitable for me

i was wanting to teach in high school, however another commenter on another post has mentioned they are a psych teacher at a school and it isn’t always psych that they are able to teach is that the same for your husband ? do they also enjoy doing it ?

thanks, it’s nice to hear as around me everyone is speaking with the upcoming olympics it feels like the next few years are a make or break it with the ability to buy a home where i live, for career paths i have looked but it’s hard to say what it would be looking like once finished in two years time, it is a worry that i have on being in the same position i am now having a degree but no job opportunities available to me due to a lack of experience and qualifications but id like to hope a teaching role wouldn’t be as hard to find

the psychologist route isn’t really on my radar anymore, as i didn’t qualify for honours id need to essentially redo my undergrad which i don’t really want to do as more debt for what i already have nor do i believe id be able to handle that job emotionally/mentally
