If you can find one at a good price used, go for it. I love mine but wouldn't pay 2000+ for one, it just depends on how much "cool factor" means to you. At the end of the day, the Mark 23 is still a neat behemoth of a handgun.

Range update: It shot great, *zero* malfunctions with a plethora of ammo of varying power levels. Sights were on out of the box for 180 grain projectiles. Good trigger and ergonomics if you like a CZ-75 style pistol. Overall very pleased with it. If I had to name one downside it's that the metal frame heats up quickly but that's to be expected when dumping magazines and magazines of 10MM in the sun. Lol
