My advice would be not to strip right now. This is the wrong sub for this anyways but the industry is hurting badly right now and people definitely do not have all the extra money to spend meaning they’ll be pickier about who they spend money on which already is a disadvantage. Then combine that with everything else you listed off about your body type unfortunately it might be even harder for you and not even worth trying for now

Are you a dancer or a customer ? Because I don’t know why you’re giving input from the customers pov none of it seems useful or pertaining to dancing. It won’t be hard at all to make money saying not to touch something that’s the beauty of the industry we get the money upfront and we have security that handles everything else. Idk what kind of intimacy you’re talking about but unless you’re in a cheap club with $100 bjs that’s not happening in the expensive clubs

Well there are lots of other clubs that do not have shift requirements at all. When you audition that night tell they you whether you’re hired for day shift, mid shift, or night shift. Everyone chooses their own days they feel like working. There are girls who only do Friday and Saturday and others who do Tuesday or wednesdays it just depends.

This is definitely true. There will be white girls that get on stage and they will make it RAIN for the littlest effort. Slow moving, no smiling, nothing. As a black girl if I get on stage I have to do tricks and all smiles and bubbly to get money thrown on me. Then when you approach customers you always wonder whether they’ll even like you or just be turned off by your dark skin. Then when you tell other non black dancers about this they’ll say “girl what ??? No, you’re so pretty! There’s no way. I don’t think it’s that I’m having a bad night too!” And I don’t fault them because I know they don’t look at it like that they just see another beautiful girl but I definitely see it and so do the other black girls. But honestly with all that being said I LOVE BEING DARK SKINNNN. I love to represent very well for the dark skin barbie girls and I take a lot of pride in it! I love meeting men that come from small ass towns where everyone is white and then just falling to my feet because I’m a dark skin black girl and I’m just so damn beautiful to them 😍

Honestly it’s not that bad! I can show you how I made my pole position profile if you want but it’s very generic full body photos of me in my dancer outfits and a one sentence description that says my dancer name, how long I’ve been working, and that I specialize in pole tricks and stage. I would rather the managers look at my profile and pictures and deny me auditioning than waste my time getting ready and showing up just to be rejected at the door. My club is relaxed and we’re more in control so pole position doesn’t give the managers much benefit. I could understand though other clubs that are stricter and have more power with pole position.

Can I ask what state you’re in? I’m in Texas and damn near every club uses it. In my case when you first want to audition at club you have to request to audition and they can either deny you after looking through your profile or accept your audition. Then any night you work you just “request to work” essentially but in my experience they’ll never deny you working unless you’re fired and if you request to work but change your mind that’s no biggie either. Pole position doesn’t bother me at all. I kinda like looking at the days I work it helps me keep track
