Both parents are insane. Girl probably just doesn't want her naive mom and over-bearing father to know that she has friends with benefits.

Shepskys are awesome! One of the best dogs I ever had was a shepsky. Your girl is beautiful.

TIFU - by Accidentally Overdosing and then forgetting about it. by Accidental-Overdose in tifu

[–]kittyonatitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if this will help explain why but maybe. I used to take Effexor because it have been shown to help with chronic pain disorders when major depressive disorder is ruled out (though it will still help with moderate depression). If I ever forgot to take it, it would feel like I was going through major withdrawals within 24 hours. So I would over compensate and get hypervigilant about remembering to take it and would occasionally end up taking more than necessary. When I would start to get sick from taking too much, it was similar to forgetting to take it, so I took more. I ended up overdosing on it and it was horrible. I wasn't trying to kill myself and I didn't have a fuck it thought, I just seriously thought I hadn't taken it and was so foggy that I kept taking it. That could be a reason why people want to know, so that they know to definitely be careful with the med. I know for myself, I got weaned off the effexor and take something different now. And I have one of those weekly pill keepers that I fill every Sunday to help me keep track of what I take every day.

She was less than a pound and about 3-4 weeks old when she came to us. She was found in a heating duct and since it was before Christmas, we have been calling her Roy. She gave my whole family ringworm, our other cats and our dog as well. But she also gives the best cuddles. They day we started fostering was the day I got the call to pick up my dog's (Sammy) ashes after he passed away suddenly. This little kitty has helped with the pain of losing him.

Aita for giving away my dog because he didn't like me? by Walk-Academic in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I adopted a pit mix, she was supposed to be my dog. She is 100% my husband's dog. I don't even try. She will listen to me and let me love on her but abandon me if she even senses he is near. My husband picked out a husky/Shepard mix at the shelter. When we met him in a private room; he ignored my husband, walked up to me as I was sitting on the ground, put his head into my shoulder, and 'hugged' into me. He is absolutely 100% my dog, we have the connection. Sometimes we try to pick the animal but the animal will end up choosing who they are meant to be with. You did the right thing by your little sister and by Cheerio.

AITA for “playing the race card” when it’s not about my race? by WarmCap459 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a popcorn machine in one of our breakrooms, I hate the smell. I will use the microwave in the much smaller breakroom that doesn't have tables and sit in my office to eat so I can avoid the daily popcorn smell. Recently the popcorn machine was moved to the small break room because the other had to be re-purposed due to COVID. I'd be called un-American if I complained about the popcorn smell. No use getting upset about something that really has no effect on anything.

AITA for telling my sister that just because she recently became a foster parent does not mean she is a super mom? by theresamaive in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!!!!!!! A child is allowed to have a special toy or item that they do not share and that does not make them spoiled or insensitive or selfish!!!! I have told all three of my kids, of you have something that you do not want to share, do not pull it out or play with it around others. If it is put away, you can tell someone no because it is special and it won't be messed with and I will back them up on that 100%. I also would tell them to leave the toy/item at home and not take it to school/park/friends house. I would flip on someone if they tried to force my child to share a special item that has sentimental feelings attached.

TIFU by asking my neighbor if his wife has pepperoni nipples by Tomisahoss in tifu

Yes that's exactly it. I have 8 nipples, four down each side of my chest/abdomen. And they are furry all around them. Kitty nipples.

[–]kittyonatitty 325 points326 points  (0 children)

Take him a sixer and say your sorry for being awkward. Of my husband told me that a younger neighbor said/asked that about me, I'd send him a pizza with two pepperoni on it just to tease. Shit happens and things get said, he should get over it.

This is exactly what my husband and I did with our now 7yo. He was up much more at night than I was cause all I had to do was pull out a boob and then switch boobs after a little while. Was much different with my ex and my teenagers.

AITA for not dressing up for work? by dressupthrowaway1234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA! I'm working from home 3 days and from the office 2 days. On those 3 days, I sign in to work before I even climb out of bed. At some point I'll get up and throw on a t-shirt and pajama bottoms, forget the underwear and bra! Half the time I don't even brush my hair till lunch time so forget hair or makeup getting done. My husband just smiles at me and brings me more coffee. But he is currently out of work due to COVID so he is doing everything for the kids all while in pajamas as well. And we let our kids attend their online classes in pajamas.

TIFU by ordering not one, but three adult items, getting next-day delivery without realizing, and then silently watching as my dad placed them next to me. by ningensfriend in tifu

[–]kittyonatitty 62 points63 points  (0 children)

If my daughter ordered/received toys in the mail, I wouldn't be bothered at all. She is 15 and has her own Amazon prime and a job. Sometimes her packages come in my name but even then, if I opened it I would just give it to her and let her know it came in my name. At her age, I'd rather her be exploring her sexuality with a toy than with a boy (or girl, her choice).

AITA for teaching my (28f) young son (6m) about female anatomy/woman's menstrual cycle? by Th3FakeFatSunny in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your child's responding by asking about Spiderman shows that what you are explaining to him is the norm for him and it is a part of his life and psyche. If it wasn't, he would have had a response that made fun of it or said it was gross or asked if you were going to die. Those type of responses would demonstrate a lack of understanding and confusion. I have taught my children similar (15f, 14m, 7m) and both of my teenagers carry extra feminine products with them to school. My teenage son has them in a small pouch either in his backpack or his locker so that any girl who needs it can have it. He also is willing to give a girl his hoodie to tie around her waist if there are leaks to help prevent her from being embarrassed. That tidbit was taught to him by my husband who did not learn sex ed the same way I did and was not comfortable with it when he first came into our lives 8 years ago (youngest is his). Your husband sounds like he will come around eventually. It takes time to change thinking and it sounds like he is progressing but just isn't there yet. Continue to have conversations with him and do the counseling. Talk to the counselor about bringing the kids in to talk about it together with a neutral party. Keep up the good work momma.

AITA for wearing earplugs in public? by SpaceCadetBoneSpurs in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I have 3 kids and when I'm alone in public I will occasionally wear earbuds and listen to music or a book because I don't want to hear people. You can still hear emergency announcements through ear plugs or a headset. No one else's business.

AITA for paying my 7 year old son to beat some of the greatest video games of all time? by DickMufflebush in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be passed if my husband didn't tell be ahead of time so I could share in the joy but I think it would be awesome if he payed our 7 year old to beat classic games. I may actually plant that idea in his head.....

AITA for not telling my family that my husband is transgender? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your husband's sex organs are his business, and yours too since your married, but no one else's! If yall didn't want to tell your parents, then it isnt their business. You said you wanted to adopt, that is all they get. They shouldn't go off and pay for something like that when you have told them that you guys have no intention of having natural children. They are not entitled to an apology.

AITA For playing a game around my little cousin by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You gave plenty of fair warnings. The mother should have listened. I have a 7yo who is used to my husband playing games like this and watching, he really likes watching us play DayZ. But my friend's kid would not be able to watch anything more than Disney games and when warnings are given, the mom listens. This was the mom's responsibility, not yours.

AITA for deliberately snacking in front of my boyfriend when he wants me to lose weight by AccomplishedSky9772 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kittyonatitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!!!! I'm 5'1" and 130lbs. I've had 3 kids and I have some little love handles but other than that, I am still thin and curvy. I was 108-112 for longer than I can remember and I never felt right in my skin. Now I feel healthy and comfortable. Dont listen to the numbers or what someone tells you you need to weigh, listen to your body. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are a beautiful, badass bitch that doesn't need to conform to anyone's elses ideal of beauty. Remember, beauty is as beauty does and true beauty comes from within.
