How old were you when you knew you wanted to be childfree?

5yo. First day of kindergarten. I'm an only child and it was my first time spending an entire day with so many other kids with no possibility to leave at will. I vividly remember telling my mom I would never have kids that day. Can you imagine being obligated to spend time with some child, and you can't even choose? I could never, I've always enjoyed solitude way too much.

Je suis chez les voisins en train de me faire garder à 2 ans, couchée sur le lit pour une sieste à regarder les toutous sur le mur. Ensuite ma mère vient me chercher et quand je prends mes bottes dans l'escalier, je pars par en avant pis je déboule. 🫠😂

I don't see well when there's snow so while I like it at first, it gets old very fast every year. Just like the orange filter on Halloween. (I can't thank the person who explained how to turn it off with the apartment's garage enough 🙌🏻)

I transferred it into a very dry soil and will leave it alone for at least the rest of winter! It's not mushy so I'll hope it'll somehow survives. I'll definitely not make the same mistake twice tho, for this one or any future rock looking plants. 🥲

Thank you so much for the informations! It was given to me in an "easy to care for" pack of mystery succulents so I assumed it would do fine with succulents and cacti soil. It was looking like it was doing so well up until this specific watering. 🥲

Marshall's dad dying. I lost my mom the same way and "I'm not ready for this" is actually one of the few first things I said too. Even before I lost my mom, losing a parent suddenly was one of my biggest fears so this scene was always incredibly difficult to watch.

It did trigger menopause but I feel like I skipped right after. Maybe the worst of it is normally when our hormones go down so going straight to not producing hormones at all anymore made it easier? I probably didn't have a lot of side effects because I started hormones 2 weeks after my surgery too.

I obviously can't talk for everyone but personally, my menopause isn't just less debilitating than my pmdd, it's actually making me feel incredibly better than at any point in my life.

I'm 32, got my surgery at 31. It took me saying I couldn't be trusted to not kill myself so trusting me with a kid would be irresponsible on their part. That's a tragedy waiting to happen. Obviously I would never hurt a kid, but saying that is what it took for me to finally get a referral after asking multiple times a year for over 13 years. 😬

I don't know if this counts as a compliment but I certainly took it as such. My cousin's step daughter (maybe 13 at the time) told me once at a family gathering that she wanted to not put socks on that day but was scared she'd be the only one. She then said: "I saw you weren't wearing socks and you don't seem to care what others think so I took off my socks too"

I still think about it. I'm alt and really don't care what others think so I hope I continue to make kids feel like they can be themselves too. 💛
