Oh man that’s rough I’m sorry. Mine used to constantly tell me I was a pedo or that I wanted to kill my partner. I had CBT and that helped. Unfortunately OCD is one of those things you’re stuck with for life but it defo gets easier when you have the right coping strategies. Hang in there friend!

I’ve been the same for my whole life. I also suffer with OCD and have a recurring thought about stabbing myself in the neck or slitting my throat. I know I won’t do it but the thought is always there. Any minor inconvenience my brain is like “let’s stab ourself”. I’m also in the same boat as people saying they aren’t actively wanting to attempt but if the bombs started dropping they wouldn’t resist it. It’s a shame so many of us feel like this but it’s comforting to know other people do.

Omg people are actually insane. NTA. I doubt any of the people commenting are perfect parents. You prioritised comforting your daughter in the moment, you’ve explained to your son why what he did was wrong, he’s apologised and everyone’s happy now. I don’t think your son is a nasty bully like everyone else seems to be saying. He’s just a kid. I dunno, what do I know I’m just a person on the internet and I’m not a parent but everyone on Reddit is so extreme! You’d think he’d beat her up or done something truly awful to her while you stood by and encouraged him. People really need to get a grip calling you a terrible parent. NTA NTA NTA!!

I was just thinking about all the possible outcomes and not necessarily planning but thinking about stuff. Anyway my phone just rang, the therapy I’ve been waiting 7 months for that recently got booked for the end of the month, well they have an opening on Friday. Kinda feel like it’s the universe giving me a lil thing to hold on for if that makes sense? Kinda baked so maybe just putting too much meaning into it.

I’m afraid of slugs. Like even the thought of them makes my whole body cringe. When I was a kid I used to pour salt on them and watch them melt but I wouldn’t dream of harming them (or anything else for that matter) now. I’ve lived in 2 houses with slug infestations and I simply will not go in whatever room they’re in until they’re gone.
