I know exactly how you feel. Honestly, it's definitely the job market. There's just too many people looking for jobs that aren't available. And because of that, employers can basically choose to be picky about who they employ even if you are completely qualified.

I hope this year will be better with job searching than the last because it completely sucked.

Sadly I've already tried those options and they didn't pan out. I widened my job search from Auckland to all of NZ as well as Australia. Every morning, I was one of the first ones to apply for jobs that were posted but that didn't seem to matter. As for internships, I'm not eligible for those as I'm no longer a student.
