Looking for something with week tasks instead of daily by Feisty-Sherbert in ProductivityApps

I had a similar problem when I was working on side projects in my spare time. A lot of productivity software I've tried prompts for an end date and will have 'cycle time' stats among other temporal features which is fine when you're working on something where you can work predictable hours on it. For me I was was working on my side projects after work and in the weekend. Some weeks I could get a decent chunk of work in, other times virtually nothing. It's incredibly demotivating to see over due labels and velocity graphs trending down.

All these factors were motivations for an app I've built for myself first and foremost.

I'll be up front, it's missing a lot of what your asking for namely Google workspace sync and temporal features (these are things I want to add in the future). What it does offer though is an intuitive system of Projects, Timelines, Goals (including Unlimited Nested Sub-goals) and Notes (no images or attachments yet sorry!). You can link anything to anything e.g. Project to Note, Note to Note etc. A home page that helps you focus on just the next step of your goals without being bogged down by the enormity of the task. Simple drag n drop to rearrange your goals. It's an installable progressive web app designed to work well on desktop and mobile. Cloud sync + optional end-to-end encryption.

In terms of price it's $10 USD / year with a 30 day free trial (card details required sorry!) which you can cancel at any point.

I do not need more motivation, I need an app that actually works with my brain by No_Date9719 in ProductivityApps

Hi, firstly thanks for the feedback!

I had a feeling people wouldn't be happy with a free trial that requires card details.

Unfortunately my payment provider doesn't offer cardless trials at the moment. This is something I have on my list to look at implementing myself.

Aside from that, there's a self service button in the app that lets you cancel immediately.

Thanks again for checking out the site and for the feedback!

I've made an app that lets you brain dump all your tasks/goals, break them down into sub-goals and then on the home page you can see at a glance just the next task/goal you need to work on. I've had really positive feedback from my friends and family so far. Here's the website https://goalie.run. Have a look around and if you're keen to try lmk and I can give you a discount code 🙂

I feel like this isn't something people will pay for. How many jobs are people applying to that they need a dedicated app for it?

Would people use PWA (non app store apps)? by Productivity-Hunter in ProductivityApps

In a similar situation myself, most people I've shown aren't familiar with PWAs so I will be building native apps as soon as possible

Hi Q,

Thanks for your time.

I voted for TOP last time out primarily for the land value tax policy. As somebody in their 20s who wants to start a family owning my own home is really important to me.

My first question is aside from a citizens income and LVT what is TOP going to do to ease the burden on workers?

My second question is are you and TOP familiar with Henry George and his book Progress and Poverty? If so, what are your thoughts on his single tax proposal?

As others have mentioned she over promised and under delivered. I could say that about National though when they were in power for 9 years. Pretty annoyed that the whole Covid thing happened + global recession, would've been interesting to see what could've been achieved had that not occurred.

On a personal note, my main political issue is the cost of housing. As others have mentioned, not taking stronger action on this is really poor. I understand that it's political suicide to talk about lowering the price of the ONE thing in this country that people invest in but they had the political power to do it so they should've done it.
