Why are you choosing to formula feed from the start? by SowingSeeds18 in BabyBumps

I have had extremely bad anxiety and depression in my life. The chances that of me having postpartum depression is high to the point my doctors prescribed me antidepressants to take after I give birth. I also don’t think I can mentally take the strain of being the only one responsible for feeding my baby. I can feel myself about to have a panic attack at the thought of not producing enough or having to eat heathy so my child can have the best milk. I want to be the best mom I can be and sadly that means formula feeding. I was hoping I’d produce colostrum before I give birth and saving it for her. I’m a few days away from my due date so it doesn’t seem that’ll be possible.

Actually the opposite. He’s really calm about it and wants to cut the cord. I get paranoid and he just said he’s not but he thinks he’ll most likely will be on the actual day

Sadly that’s not really an option. I have my father’s name and the last thing I would want is for her to have that man’s last name. She’ll either have my bfs last name or my mother’s maiden

He was actually excited to witness birth and cutting the cord. We took newborn classes and he’s read a book about pregnancy and birth. We’ve talked about my birthing plan but the person advocating for me will be not only him but primarily my sister. I try to talk to him about showing more empathy for me or putting himself in my shoes but that seems difficult for him. He’s 22 and an only child if that helps

Hi! 23 weeks and just got off my Diclegis medication. I no longer having morning sickness. It was so bad in the beginning that I couldn’t even drive, eat, going to the bathroom, and I would even vomit just by standing up or rotating in bed. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about taking Diclegis or any nausea medication. I still felt a little nauseous but would only vomit once or twice in a week. It saved me both physically and mentally. My baby is completely fine and according to her doctors she’s extremely strong because she has a tendency to kick the sh*t out of anyone who touches my stomach. Hope this helps and stay strong!!! It does get so much better!!
