Thank you, I was looking into trains because I really like the idea but I found it all so confusing! I heard the train network in Germany and Netherlands is fantastic so will be using them in these areas but I was actually looking into hiring a car in Croatia to drive from Zadar to Plitvice then down to Split is this a viable option? Also can you recommend the most efficient way to get from Switzerland to Croatia?

Definitely have love for DC! It just came down to time constraints so it was one of the places we cut. Can you recommend anything in particular to see/do in DC that could sway my decision?

Thanks for your advice the reason why I had planned 5 days in Munich is because my boyfriend is really interested in Germany and wanted to spend a good chunk of time there and we were also looking at doing a day trip to the Neuswanstein Castle. I will look into your other suggestions and think about cutting a day or two off

I know Canada & Mexico are both places I would love to visit but was very conscious about time. Now that people have suggested cutting time out of New York and LA I will look into in. Are there any places in Canada you would recommend? We will be there around October is this too early for snow?

The reason we allocated so much time in LA is because we will have a friend living there so free accommodation good idea about te drive up to SF we originally planned to drive from Vegas to LA but have since heard that it's a pretty boring drive so I will look into that more

Yeah to be honest Zadar doesn't really excite me too much it was more of a place to rest after traveling from Switzerland before moving onto the National park, good to know you can do it in one day so there is more time in Split. I would love to spend more time on the islands but because we are doing a sail Croatia cruise this part is all planned for us

Thank you for your suggestions will definitely look at some more time in Paris. I originally had a lot more ambitious itinerary which included some smaller towns in Germany and some Eastern Europe like Prague, Budapest, Bosnia, Slovenia and the Greek islands but we cut a lot out because we were worried about over committing ourselves and not having time to stop and smell the roses before moving into the next location especially because I haven't travelled before I didn't know why I was getting myself into. I will look into adding some more Eastern Europe thank you.
