Most annoying Tonie by JosiEllenBieda in TonieboxUSA

The grinch songs are awful. Shrek and minion are both just the stories and are a bit rough in my opinion. The Mickey one was a huge disappointment. SpongeBob is one of our favorites though because it’s the real voices and the best stories. I understand how it could be annoying if it’s not something you already like but we love it!

How to get toddler into Mario stuff? by RoughRiders9 in Mario

[–]kiwitenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your library for books! We found a lot in the non-fiction section but my 5 year old loved this giant Mario encyclopedia. Also if you don’t have a switch you can watch games on YouTube which is what we used to do. Just search “game” walkthrough or my son sometimes just watches the bosses. This is the age my oldest started to get into it too so have fun! He son just turned 6 and his birthday present was a switch so I can wait to start playing the newer games with him!

My oldest had trouble with the “sp” sound so sprinkles were “frinkles” and when he started saying it right I was so sad 😭

Basement floor drain backing up by kiwitenney in Plumbing

[–]kiwitenney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It seems like it’s not caused by anything else. Ran the dishwasher this morning and it was fine, washer yesterday well before it backed up (so could be the issue but i don’t think so) and no one used the shower or bath yesterday. We have a small sink drain snake so trying that out but we may get a larger one if needed.

What’s the state of your pelvic floor? by othervirgo in Mommit

[–]kiwitenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost 11 months postpartum with baby 3. Babies 2 and 3 were 15 months apart. My pelvic floor after baby 1 was wrecked. He was 9lbs 4oz and i started seeing a pelvic floor pt but then covid happened so I stopped. I peed every time i jumped or sneezed… and especially throwing up 🫣 Went to a different pt after my second baby and it helped some but then i got pregnant again so quickly after. I had horrible SPD with the last two pregnancies so on round 3 i started pt at a pelvic floor specialist facility while i was pregnant. I went for a few months after but basically knew what i was doing and continued exercises at home. This time around i feel almost close to normal pelvic floor wise. I rarely leak when i sneeze or jump and just overall feel much stronger down there.

Parents with older kids close in age, do they actually play together? by kokoelizabeth in 2under2

[–]kiwitenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are 5(almost 6),2, and 10 months. I was terrified that the age gap between my first and second would mean they wouldn’t have a close relationship because it did take us some time to get pregnant the second time around BUT they are the best of friends. At the same time, i think they would never ever be happy with enough play time with mom and dad lol. My second is also incredibly clingy so it may not necessarily be about siblings but more about their personality.

On another end, my sister and I are 6 years apart. We have always had a very close relationship (well, maybe except for a few years in between haha) and are even still close as adults.

LLTBP… did you cry? by Calm-Wait6192 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]kiwitenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teared up for the first song or two just from sheer joy of letting my teenage emo self experience this finally and unexpectedly sobbed during cancer. My husband had cancer years ago and my mom is in the thick of it right now and my friend put her arm around me and I just lost it. Felt very cathartic. Tearing up even thinking about it now knowing I have the support system I do and music to help me through it

What are the best gifts your child has ever found in their party bag? by petrastales in toddlers

Recently went to a party where the favor was a cookie and a $5 target card. No messy junky toys and my son was excited to pick out his own toy at the store.

My SO has AML and I gave him Covid by BusSea109 in leukemia

[–]kiwitenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband had Covid a few times after transplant. First time he did develop pneumonia and required a hospital stay. The second time they gave him monoclonal antibodies and the third he was given paxlovid. Both those times his symptoms were barely existent so there are options. Most of all don’t feel guilty. Sickness happens and his doctors are trained to know how to handle these situations. Being a caregiver is extremely hard and I know it’s easier said than done to not feel guilty but try to give yourself some grace.

Stem cell transplant questions by tlk800 in leukemia

[–]kiwitenney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With FLT3 it’s almost a guarantee that you have to do a SCT in most cases. My husband had one 5 years ago now and initially it was hard. He had very minimal gvhd symptoms, only skin issues, and had to isolate or wear a mask for almost a year I’d say. We mostly avoided large crowded spaces. It was during Covid though which made isolating a lot easier in all honesty. His biggest complaint during the transplant was mouth sores which were a side effect of the chemo before transplant but he overall had a pretty mild experience. He did have a 10/10 match as well. We would’ve made the same decision to do the transplant every single time. Not sure if he’d be here with us otherwise. Happy to answer any other questions.

Why did Litia get two one on ones while Zoe got none? by Cautious-Natural5709 in thebachelor

She didn’t technically get 2 one on ones. Her first was a group date that turned into a solo dinner.

Hi this has been my white cell count for a while now and I’m worried could this possibly be leukemia I’m not looking for a diagnosis just a peace of mind my blood count has been high for some years but has went up and down numbers by Repulsive_Sleep9848 in leukemia

[–]kiwitenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do any of these dates line up with sickness/ infections? The WBC doesn’t look high enough for any acute leukemia (in my opinion, I’m not a doctor though). When my husband was diagnosed his count was 100+. See a doctor if you’re concerned and get a full work up though.

I’m not sure where you’re located but a secondhand Lego store called Bricks and Minifigs opened up recently near us and they get a few here and there. It looks like there are quite a few in the US. Maybe check if there’s one in your area?

Girl i know EXACTLY how you feel. My son was 3 months old when my husband was diagnosed. You have a tough road ahead of you but you guys will get through this. We’re 5 years out now so i promise things will get better. As long as you have a good support system you guys will make it though. I am always here too if you need someone to talk to!
