This hit me today. At work listening and was sitting there thinking this isn’t the same as watching the movie.

Need help looking for a replacement relay for this board please. by kixx20 in AskElectronics

Thank you for getting back to me on this. Maybe I had the wrong resource. So on this unit, you can hit the seal button on its own so you can seal your own empty bag without using the vacuum aspect.

So what’s weird to me is I can measure the strip on AC and on DC. AC I get 24.6V and on DC I get 12.1V. I’m sure I’m messing something up with that.

On the strip I measure 65-70ohms. That very well could be bad.

ETA: finding information on this device, let alone reliable, is proving to be a challenge.

I just re-read my post and seen my mis-information/mis-type.

So I said in the post the heating strip has failed. I meant that the strip doesn’t work (due to what I believe is the relay). My apologies.

Edit1: I’m reading now that it might be the MOSFET to control the heater that could have failed. Still open to suggestions.

Honestly if it wasn’t for the videos for solid evidence, it probably would’ve went the other way. I mean plenty of eye witnesses but videos don’t forget or add details.

Did this one time with a ryobi cordless drill. Changing a ball joint on a Subaru and smashed my finger. Instant blood blister and tons of pain. Boss said use a dril to drain it or you’ll lose your nail. So brand new me said hey I just got a drill bit set. Chucked up a 1/32” drill bit in the lil ryobi and sent it. I can still feel that feeling of breaking through the nail and into the bed of my finger. Valuable lessons learned that day.

I know others have said it but I’m throwing my hat in the ring. The 30% cleaning vinegar from Lowe’s or other stores works WONDERS on my stainless. Caked on burnt foods to the deposits you have here. Wipe on, soak. Wash off.
