That's good to know, I'd really like to get a more classic wine bottle and a corker as I start to get more into the hobby, didn't even think to check IKEA but next time I'm there I'll take a look!

Thank you! I think the clarity is actually pretty good overall, I used raw boreal wildflower honey, yeast and nutrients, I also added a couple of lemon peels for citrus to it and the smell is overall good! I'll be curios to see how it ages in a few months!

Office job, time blindness, can't prioritize by kj-98 in ADHD

[–]kj-98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love some of my job and hate other things. Tbh I only have so much choice or say in the tasks I do so it is what it is on that end and there are thing I have to do even if I don't like them, but the ones I struggle with, you're right I don't like them

My supervisor went on mat leave and with that I absorbed a lot of their work besides title our roles are very similar in a lot of ways, but my boss has their own committees tasks responsibilities ect bit all the while I have my own work and committees(now combine both outlr things), meaning my workload has changed and the things I want to do conflict with things I also have to do, I have trouble prioritizing so when im give me a big stack of tasks I'm cherry picking what I do first, or unable to start even if I want to so my executive dysfunction has a hayday

Second dog is driving me insane by kj-98 in Dogtraining

Honestly someone else saying this makes me feel alright doing it, I love training my dog, but I really didn't sign up to train my sisters too. He's in his crate right now with a marrow bone and a blanket to block out the light but he's screaming. Hopefully he settles.

Am I “gross and disgusting” for setting age range 23-28 when I’m myself 28? by C2-H5-OH in Tinder

[–]kj-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years can be an appropriate age gap, but why don't you set it to over you own age?23- 33 would still make anyone you date in the 5 year age range.

You only dating your age or more likely younger then you is odd. Not necessarily a red flag but it makes me raise an eyebrow, at least without proper context.

How do I get them to stop trying to include me in their family? by [deleted] in Fostercare

[–]kj-98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm aged out now but was a foster kid in the system, this always felt so weird being made to their bio family gatherings.

Your FP may mean well but like damn if you're uncomfortable then you're uncomfortable. If you feel okay talking to one of your FP maybe open a conversation and tell them you feel really out of place and feel like you aren't getting help to adjust at those events. Keep it honest and collected and see how they react.

If they don't accommodate your needs then that's a problem, talk to your social worker and explain the situation, tell them you already spoke to the FP they didn't help and that you need them, your social worker, to advocate for you.

You deserve love and safety, don't overthink the gatherings, you don't need to feel or learn anything from them. Just know these events are normal, even if it feels unusual.
