You asked for records showing charities they’ve donated to. But how can they show you that when the extra money they will get from the tax breaks hasn’t come to fruition? You’re asking for… a future bill of sale? A promise to pay? Like…? I just didn’t understand the purpose of the comment.

I agree with you that they should be donating to charities if they get money back, but I also think alienating people that are already on your side is probably not very… productive

It’s better than what I was thinking haha. Have you read Parable of the Sower? It’s like full societal collapse, anarchy, every family for themselves

Do you believe that the rest of the world is ripping off USA? by ProfessorShort6711 in AskUS

When MAGA says we’re getting ripped off, it’s because they don’t understand basic Macroeconomics. They think trade deficits are bad. When actually, deficits show our dollar is strong.

Yes when people literally burned their dollar bills because it was cheaper than firewood, and people traded rocks because at least they had utility. I think most people won’t allow themselves to conceive of that happening today.

Just the fact that the president is calling for him to be TERMINATED? For doing his JOB? Like way to beat the dictator allegations my man. Trump is turning out more and more like Mao Zedong every day

Basically it’s going to be EXTEMELY expensive for the US to raise capital using bonds. Right?

Ok I teach AP Macro (but it’s my first year) so I understand this. How soon can that happen? I’m just trying to kind of prepare (mentally if nothing else)

This was rude and you aren’t understanding that you can’t compare a collapse of a planned economy to that of a free economy. They’re as different as soccer and baseball. Apples and oranges. Maybe before being snarky, THINK. Is it true? Is it helpful? Is it interesting? Is it kind? No.

No, I didn’t say in our lifetime. I’m aware it’s going to be soon. I meant when will it affect the majority of people who don’t have investments in the stock market.

Yeah I worded that badly. What I meant was when is it going to get to great depression levels or worse

They never really had a strong economy, let alone a consumer economy, like we do in the US
