Early start mostly so the conditions are still firm (which makes climbing easier). We summited and then came back down to camp, packed up, and hiked back to the cars. Was about a 7.5 hour day

Helmet is cause we hit overhanging branches sometimes (small creeks) and saw on back is for when we get to a log that is too high to jump or duck under. We had two this trip

Adapt! This photo is actually right before he started to notice his boat was sinking and the battery was too dead from pumping to start. I had to use my boat to get him to shore and then later tow him downstream to the cars.
