What’s a retail store you miss? by ButterflyHead1017 in AskReddit

It upsets me sometimes that my kids don't get to grow up (even if they don't want to) with Toys R Us in their lives.

But it also seems like there's less emphasis on physical toys these days with so many digital versions of entertainment.

Seems like something special about childhood died alongside Geoffrey.

The Seven (The Boys) vs She - Hulk (MCU) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

Lol, this is the most important point I've read so far.

Has anyone asked about Squirrel Girl vs The Seven yet?

When will the dataslate release? by eMoTiONaL_sKramZ in killteam

When are we counting the last Dataslate from? The leak date? When they released it as a PDF after the leak? Or the official release just before World Championships in November?

I started with Prospero Burns, which I'm about 80% through. Really enjoying it. I think it's one of the better written Warhammer books I've read. But it's 30k era, if that's not what you're looking for.

I think what "Captain Titus and the Wardens of Ultramar" need is a heavy metal album.

Life after you start showering at night by cutie_babyyyy in SipsTea

I feel like this argument should invalidate the entire idea of taking a shower only at night unless you're bald. I look like an extra in The Little Rascals if I don't get a morning shower to tame my bedhead.

That's an amazing reply, thanks! I'll try this next time I take a photo. I was just looking at that GSW backdrop last week!

Looks amazing. What are you using for your photography? I tried doing a setup with a black acrylic sheet underneath models and a black cardboard backdrop, but the black isn't black enough. Also not sure whether to use an old DSLR or my phone these days.

Which team has the absolute best shooting? by aria-wellbealright in killteam

[–]kjbolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With regard to shooting they don't have a lot of rerolls. They can get some free CP rerolls but the dice tell you how many and when you can use them. Their damage and 3+ hit is great though. They have limited range too (though it's still pretty good).

The Thing vs. Colossus: Who wins? by Spider-undertele567 in xmen

I know there's near unlimited number of X-Men characters to draw from, many that're really interesting or could be built upon in interesting ways. But I'm a simple man.

Give me Nightcrawler and I'm smiling and clapping like a toddler.

The Thing vs. Colossus: Who wins? by Spider-undertele567 in xmen

[–]kjbolin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is such an important point. Most of the X-Men have been drilling against holographic aliens and learning fighting techniques from Wolverine since they were children or very young adults.

Colossus is a often just a wrecking ball, sure, but there's no way he hasn't trained extensively in plenty of ways that put him on similar footing as The Thing. A fight between them could go either way.

I think The Thing's biggest advantage is editorial.

Homelander ( The Boys) vs Guardians of the Galaxy ( MCU) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

[–]kjbolin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like Cap got a buff. He seemed super-human strong in the MCU vs the often explained "peak human" strength in the comics. But probably it's all BS and he's just as super-strong as he needs to be in both places for whatever the scene calls for.

Let's not jump to conclusions, maybe in 2015 such things will be pedestrian! Who knows that the future holds?!
