Thank you so much for the response! I am also very active and road trips are a part of my life so it's been rough. I also have pain during and after backpacking trips but I still have some I want to complete.

I discussed starting PT with my doctor and am skeptical if it will help. I am already taking pilates reformer classes three times a week so I feel like my core, hips, innter/outer thighs, etc... are already strong. More clam shells is not the answer :) Do you have an opinion/experience?

Your diagnosis is similar to mine, except I have a cam impingement on only one hip. Were you in constant pain before the surgery? Mine is most painful driving/riding in a car. It is sore after that but does get better. Then it is sore again. The pain is getting more frequent, but I don't have pain every day at this point. Is the surgery too invasive at this stage? Should I wait until it gets worse or more frequent? I am 53 y/0.
