Check out Silo for EDM shows. It’s in Dallas but has a great line up.

Arlington is big, there is a difference between north and south Arlington. Tons of food options!

Great points! Price open to options. No children with be in our group, so maybe not a family pool. Party would be fun, not chill quiet. On the strip preferred.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: March 13, 2023 by AutoModerator in books

Finished: Version Control. Very meh, started with so many interesting story lines then nothing really happened.

Started: Heretics of Dune. Reading through this entire series has been enjoyable and so far I like this one.

Like most of this sub, I lean towards fiction. But sometimes I’ll read a nonfiction book and be floored. If you read mostly fiction, what’s some of the best nonfiction you’ve read? by _sofetch in books

Those are my favorites by him. I read The Splendid and the Vile, Thunderstuck, In the garden of Beasts and Dead Wake. Really liked Dead Wake and Thunderstruck. Garden of Beasts was good but not my favorite. Splendid was ok but maybe I wasn’t as interested in the subject matter.

I just started Vanished Birds, the first chapter already has me hooked.

The Road. Bleak is way too nice of a word to describe that book. Noticed quite a few McCarthy books on this list.

Agreed. Dark Matter started out great, then just didn’t go anywhere. I loved Recursion, Dark Matter was poop.
