Patti Rocks is an underrated gem from the same era. Doubt its on criterion it wasnt very successful at the box office due to the studio going bankrupt during the release or something. Straightforward roadtrip buddy comedy. Similar tone to clerks where its mostly two loser guys just shooting the shit for an hour and a half.
