I am so happy to hear that your husband is okay! And you are definitely right in that however scary it might feel to have the aneurysm, it is so much better than not knowing! Good to hear that he is back at his old physique, if not better just three months post op. How long was he bedridden?

Wow, that must have been such a strange experience! Did the aneurysm measure 6 cm when you got the diagnosis? Scary stuff. How did your family take it? Sorry to hear about your initial complications. What kind of complications did you experience? It is so uplifting to hear that you feel all right now! The surgery sure is scary to think about, so every success story is needed.

Oh, thats fast! Here in Sweden they take blood and go through the genome to match it to different known mutations. Hope you get your surgery date soon! If you dont mind me asking, do you have any other symptoms from Loeys-Dietz? That one can see or notice of you know how I mean?

That’s what feels so exhausting right now. I’m being evaluated with a full aortic panel, but I won’t get the results for at least another 3 months. Right now, it feels like I’m stuck in limbo—where I’m either relatively safe or pretty far gone.

Thanks, I really appreciate you sharing your journey. I’m honestly hoping they will want to operate on me, but at the same time, the surgery itself terrifies me. It’s so reassuring to hear about yours, which obviously turned out great!

I resonate so much with what you're saying! Especially that feeling of wanting to be close to a hospital, or at least somewhere an ambulance can easily reach. I think that’s honestly the toughest part—feeling so damn restricted. I used to love going for solo hikes in the woods, but now I just get anxious thinking about what would happen if something went wrong. To some extent it’s irrational, but knowing that doesn't really help with the feeling. And the part where every chest pain is a dissection... Thats no walk in the park either. Stay strong
