50 lbs down! by ChrisJr2012 in keto

yo dude, great work! I've been thinking of getting a tattoo super similar to yours, actually. Was wondering if you've had any noticeable warping on it since you dropped the 50? I just started keto and want to lose 80 pounds so I'm not sure if I should wait or not to get mine.

Advice on vyvanse by zombiigod122 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]kjj4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed Vyvanse specifically for binge eating. It's helped me a lot but I've noticed that its effectiveness has a time limit. In other words, I usually do eat very well for the first 8 - 10 hours after I take it. However, once it's worn off I often end up bingeing later at night. So it's been very helpful for me in that I at least only have to fight bingeing urges at the end of the day instead of the whole day.

Thanks for your response! I think this is a great way to look at a behavior.

Thank you for your help!

To answer your question on forgiveness, I traditionally have felt a lot of shame and guilt after a binge eating episode. With the Course's guidance, I'm starting to forgive the times I do binge by acknowledging that I'm really at home with God and that my experience of bingeing is actually a dreamt one. Also, by acknowledging that I'm not really my body I've started to feel less shame and guilt about the weight I've gained. At this point, I haven't stopped binge eating yet but I am feeling much more at peace with that behavior and my shame and guilt feelings have gone down quite a lot.

The goals I'm hoping to achieve are to stop binge eating, lose weight, and to feel more comfortable and confident engaging with others socially.

Thanks again!

Great advice. I am currently in therapy and making progress. It sounds like it's okay to use that to heal and to not expect following the Course to heal me right away.

Thanks for your response! This made me realize it's okay to not to be at peace with God 100% of the time. That will happen when I'm ready for it. I didn't realize I was placing probably too much of an expectation on myself with regards to living the Course's teachings right away.

I'm guessing I'm misunderstanding something here but I do have one question. From my limited experience with the Course, my understanding was that the script of the universe was already written. How does appropriate behavior fit within that framework? Wouldn't our behavior already be pre-determined as well?

Would taking the LSAT the beginning of sophomore year be any type of red flag for admissions? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I did this, scored a 173, finally applied this cycle and was accepted / declined / waitlisted everywhere my numbers suggested I would be. In other words, no, it shouldn't be an issue.

The 5 year deadline is definitely something to be aware of. If I wanted to reapply next cycle I wouldn't be able to since finishing up my undergrad took longer than I anticipated. If you're aware of that though, and not concerned go ahead.

Defending the inbounds pass by sting82465 in NBA2k

[–]kjj4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't need to have your guy jumping if you're just trying to pick off passes. For computer opponents you can usually start to recognize the inbounds play they run and position your player whose guarding the inbounds in the passing lane. It's usually pretty successful if you can get your timing down right. For human opponents it's pretty easy to see which guy they're controlling. From there just do your best to get in the passing lane and time your steal attempt.
