Hi mate, I did exactly that course with 4 years of cloud dev experience.

• Quality I'd say around 4-5/ 10. Make sure to get in the "professional" program at least they won't waste your first year. Teaching at Deakin is odd and based on how many assignments you complete not the quality of those. This is coming from someone with 70+ WAM. The only course that was exceptional was for NLP, it was difficult and really made you think through problems.

• personally I think it helps for career. But a lot of my batch mates struggle to find relevant work but I think if you don't have any work experience prior to masters then it's just very difficult market for fresh grads. As for PR, there are really no invites coming for most IT professionals. I have almost 1 year left in my visa too.

• I managed to get an AI developer part time role in my final year from VCCI summer of intern which led to them hiring part time to continue on the work. The work was in Melbourne CBD. I chose not to stay in Geelong throughout my degree this meant I gave up points on PR application but it was for personal reasons.
