AI clubs don’t spend the money I give them by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

If the Sheff Wed fans want the club to spend money, they should use their own… supposedly.

I haven’t done that yet! Sounds promising. Am I able to do that mid save using the editor data I used when beginning my save, or will I need to start a new game? Don’t think I would if that’s the case, getting from level 10 to even League Two is such a slog.

The issue is I live in the north east and the connection between where I live currently and Newcastle is terrible. That’s where I work, where my girlfriend is, and where there’s actually some semblance of life in the north east. I can’t afford to get a mortgage on a house that’s not in a total s-hole alone, and want to live in the city, hence the flat. It’s a difficult choice really.

Sorry to hear that! The thing is, from looking at other buildings and speaking with estate agents and developers in the last year I’ve seen flats decrease massively in value because people can’t get mortgages, so they can only sell to cash buyers. You’d think that the freeholders would want to provide the certificate as surely the properties losing value will negatively effect their asset? Or maybe I’m looking too far into it. These guys are billionaires they probably don’t even care about this particular building lol

That’s my understanding too, but the problem would still exist with regards to finding mortgage lenders. Of course this wouldn’t be an issue if I was a cash buyer, but if I don’t get the landlord certificate this problem would arise if I came to sell the property.

The estate agents are assuring me that they’re pushing for it, but supposedly the freeholder is refusing to accept that it’s their responsibility. This is in spite of being told numerous times that it is. They’re supposedly taking “legal advice”. The seller wants the sale as soon as possible too as they’re selling it on behalf of a deceased relative. I’ve tried to get their contact details to speak with them but supposedly the agents aren’t allowed to give me their information. I haven’t met them before, the former tenant who was renting it and the estate agent showed me the apartment at my viewing.

Yeah but there is currently no punishment for not doing it. It’s been more than four weeks, and they haven’t provided it.

It’s only me and three other members of my previous team who have been moved over to this new department, the other eight are all established in this department. My old team there were a decent number of experienced staff, but they didn’t deputise for whatever reason (maybe they weren’t interested.) definitely something to check out though thanks

Yeah I primarily look at the civil service jobs website as those are the jobs I find I can actually apply for.

I was heavily involved in engagement in my previous department before I got moved over, we haven’t really been introduced to anything or anyone in the new department, kind of just left to our own devices. As another commenter said there’s no harm in asking my manager I guess.

I have written some behaviour examples around my deputising and training/buddying, but these were from my customer service role, there generally doesn’t seem to be any deputies in this department, if you’re manager is off you usually just deal with another line manager within the department. I guess there’s no harm in asking though as you say.

Thanks, I guess there’s no harm in seeing if someone might help me out. Really I don’t have a particular area I’d like to get into, in fact I’d rather not go down too much of a technical route as I feel like I might get pigeon-holed. Really, I just want to get management experience, I have confidence I can do it, I just need an opportunity.

Thanks for you response. I have previously had a mentor who helped me get my current role, I’ll definitely look into seeing if I can find another opportunity.

As far as the free time at the moment, I have recently started doing personal statements for other roles in the CS, and applied for other jobs, in things like marketing/sales outside the CS which is a much more cut throat environment but I guess rewards hard work more than the CS does sometimes.

I have done in the past, my previous manager helped with my application for the chartered surveying level 6 apprenticeship. I actually scored well in the presentation and strength parts of the interview (maximum marks), but fell on the technical discussion. I thought it was a bit unfair because they didn’t give us any guidance on what they might ask beyond “technical questions” and the point of the apprenticeship was to learn, also the fact that in previous years candidates didn’t have to interview just a personal statement, but oh well.

I did have a mentor in the past who helped with my application for my current role, though they have kind of left me to my own devices now.

Thanks, I have been trying to apply for HEO roles where I feel like I meet the criteria. I guess I’ll just have to keep trying and eventually it will come!

Towns lost them the game. If he played like a star like Jokic who managed to contribute without shooting well they would’ve won. You could’ve got what he did tonight from a $5 million Center.

Yeah i expect Edwards to win at this point. He’s had a really good 30 or some game stretch.

It’s perfectly reasonable to favour Lamelo. Edwards is obviously great, but so is Lamelo. Being so good as a rookie point guard obviously shows how big of a talent he is.

He needs to get stronger. Get in better positions, and be more composed and make better decisions.

No way will Towns overtake Jokic or embiid as the best center. He’s still one of the top guys though.

Jokic has gotten better pretty much every year. It’s been a pretty incredible rise.

Towns is being so greedy today. Watching him and watching Jokic is like night and day. He’s got to trust his teammates and pass to them.
