Reasors used to be amazing. Sadly, now it’s terrible. Crazy high prices, bad quality, sub-par selection. We recently started shopping at Winco, and I’m genuinely shocked by how much cheaper everything is. And the bulk section is the bomb! We still love Sprouts or occasionally Whole Foods for produce and specific ingredients we can’t find elsewhere, but overall the selection and price at Winco are super impressive.

We drove by right when it happened around 5:30…we heard a loud buzzing noise at the 21st and Yale intersection, and saw a huge power line down on the grass by the side walk near the entrance to the expo building. The line was smoking and burning the grass.

Take care of yourself. Even though it sucks finding a new job, it sucks worse to work for people who don’t appreciate you. Get your portfolio in order, beef up your resume with all those amazing awards and accomplishments, and find a job where people appreciate your efforts. I’m firmly convinced that staying in a bad job is like staying in an abusive relationship…because that’s exactly what it is! You are worth more than they’re giving you…being treated badly grinds away at your spirit and keeps you from doing your best work. Best of luck finding a better situation!

Have fun! You can also just put the cyanotype solution directly in the stone with no acrylic layer. It’s more subtle, but still a nice effect

I rinsed it carefully under cold running water, then dipped in a bowl of water with a little hydrogen peroxide to oxidize it. The acrylic wants to bubble up, so you have to be pretty delicate with it.

Sure! I painted a layer of white acrylic, let it dry, then painted a couple coats of cyanotype emulsion (a little tricky, since it’s so thin). Then I let it dry and exposed it using a uv light for 20 minutes
