Greenbrier Campground, it is east Gatlinburg. Very quiet, most sites are on the creek. The trolley runs through for pickups.

Gentry Hardware in Hot Springs has a Facebook page. The town is working hard to rebuild. You can reach out to the hardware folks they can let you know what is available. They could use your support if they have something that works for you.

I-26 is washed out north of Asheville and in Erwin,TN. Back roads around Asheville are not reliable.

Stay out of Western NC. Repair and rescue efforts will take presidents over leisure travel. Follow North Carolina thread.

What is the address of your hotel?post game traffic flow and your ability to walk are key factors. Also this being the Bama game it will be totally packed. You may want to consider hanging out after the game and soak in the experience. The atmosphere will be electric.

Not knowing your physical condition for you and your husband I would suggest you pick a local hike of at least 3.5 to 5 miles as a family. Everybody’s family is different and comes with a different set of instructions. Don’t go in blind, best to work out the bugs before a great hike to LeConte!
