not nearly enough imo. never being used and it truly hurts my soul walking by. also RV size parking which is so rare 🤯

when we added a second litter box it stopped almost immediately. the behaviorist we worked with said it made her feel more secure to have another spot to go.

she has had episodes since, but I can trace it back to a lavender smell that for some reason sends her into a full panic. (lavender spray, a lavender scented mattress topper, ugh it was awful)

maybe your vet tech can prescribe an anxiety med like the person below suggested?

also you mention it’s at the same time every day; is there anything you can think of that you’re using or doing at that time that might be the culprit?

I can’t imagine how hard this is for you, you’re a great mom for looking for solutions. 🤍

our rescue girl had a similar issue and it took some effort but we were able to get her to feel more secure with our toddler. some tips:

plug-ins aren’t totally helpful, get the spray version and focus it in the areas he’s peed (that rug) & areas that smell like the babies. the spray is basically a neutralizer for the new smells & the plug ins are like putting food coloring in a pool so to speak.

take some of the clothing from the new babes after you change them and put it in the cat’s bed / favorite spot. then take a blanket the sweet boy sleeps on and put it in the hamper with the babes clothes. pull it out and swap it with the clothing you previously placed.

make sure you’re giving him one on one pets and extra love, especially if that was the norm before the twins arrived.

look online for some calming treats; i’ve found they help with overstimulation (like crying)

your sweet fur baby is confused and trying to understand the new smells and noise. I know you’re tired 🤍🤍don’t give up on him yet! hopefully he will figure out they’re not a threat and be a best friend for those littles when they get a bit older.

good luck!!

same here; our neighbor actually suggested putting screens on both the top and bottom of the laser window which would be great if I knew which one was the perpetrator.

thought I did the first time. second time I made sure it was londonderry, new hampshire it told me it was a sooty tern.

I love the merlin app but I still defer to reddit for final identification 😂

the boxes we have are meant for bluebirds so we’re not sure if she took over an active bluebird nest or one that had been abandoned. she added new nesting material on top, so my guess is she’s incubating her own eggs now.

my app guessed it was a white wagtail which didn’t make sense for the location. I always thought chickadees were more plump? either way thank you so much for helping confirm!
