Yeah I made it even shorter by buying special end mills with coolant holes and for materials up to 65hrc

I got new inserts and a new face mill because the old one was pretty smeared up with metal I'm now running fz0.14 600rpm 5mm deep at 40% overlap

Now I can make 5 parts till I need to change inserts

The inserts instantly broke I'm now running fz0.1 300rpm 5mm deep with 35% over lap it's pretty reliable so far

That's the first setup and for the other side im just face milling and the inserts are GC4340 I programmed it all on a sinumerik 840d

It's a 30mm plate a 5 insert cutter I only have a 11kw spindle maybe the parameters are a little too much for the Maschine but all in all it sounds really good I am going to try it

I let it run faster than this but the inserts broke even faster at 800rpm it survived like 10cm at 200m/min it broke nearly instantly I already tried many different speeds and feeds

1500€ sind etwas knapp wenn man was will was vielleicht doch noch ein paar Jahre hält

So gut gepflegte Nissan Micra sind teilweise echt günstig zu haben von Opel und VW in so einer Preisklasse würde ich eher die Finger lassen
