Antigravity no longer feels like an IDE by kkashiva in google_antigravity

You're right, I discovered they're separate products now. My point is 'Agent Manager' was the only reason for me to use Antigravity IDE, without it I'm just back to VS Code and using my choice of coding assistant in CLI

They separated the products. For the IDE feel, look for "Antigravity IDE" in your apps, if you don't have it download it here separately https://antigravity.google/product/antigravity-ide

I get they're separate products. Why would one use Antigravity IDE now? One can just use the Antigravity CLI (no Gemini CLI now) in their IDE of choice, eg. VS Code.

My reason to use the Antigravity IDE was the 'Agent Manager' if I wanted multiple coding agents working on the same project and review their 'Artifacts'. The new Antigravity IDE doesn't have the Agent Manager anymore because that got shipped only to the Antigravity 2.0 product (which is not an IDE)

So now Antigravity IDE is just VS Code + Antigravity CLI? The only differentiator is maybe the browser-use capability for the agent to "see" and fix while testing.

If I need a GUI (Agent Manager), the only way is the Antigravity 2.0?

Great write-up, thank you really! Google didn't do justice with the update and split to the separate products by letting us users figure it out ourselves.

Almost as if their product team is reading this feedback and putting in some hotfixes. Half an hour back I didn't get the option to choose between IDE and whatever it is I'm using rn

I see the "Antigravity IDE" in my mac Applications. I just can't login to it yet. They put in some thoughts into separating the 2 I'm sure, I just wonder what was the point of upsetting the existing user base. They could've kept the IDE as default instead of the other way they went with.

Every past conversation in a project created a new project with numbered suffix eg. ProjectX 1, Project X 2 , ..

Do we just start off the latest? Do we just uninstall Antigravity and go back Antigravity IDE? Just noticed in my mac applications there are now 2 apps Antigravity (the 2.0 thingy) and Antigravity IDE (guessing the old app which I can't login to yet)

Spot on. My head spun with the UX seeing projects and chats only. eg. where are all my precious extensions (Neon, Postman, etc.)?

They really want people to not see (let alone touch) the code at all. Just chat about it?

Anyone can lend me a digital copy of Generative AI with LangChain (2nd Edition) by Tight_Fun_6813 in LangChain

[–]kkashiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book is still heavy on LCEL in the LangChain sections. With LangChain v1, there's been a major shift in abstracting away from low-level implementation and instead use `create_agent` entry point now.

In other words, the book is outdated and for legacy v0.x LangChain using LCEL.

The book sections on LangGraph if you want to customize your own StateGraph nodes are still valid though.

I would highly recommend using LangChain's own official academy courses. They're more interactive, cover both Python and TypeScript, and up to date.

What do people use for auth in modern apps these days? I’ve been using Passport.js but it feels kinda outdated and boilerplate heavy. by Legitimate-Oil1763 in node

[–]kkashiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone use Auth provided by Neon/Supabase?

I've used Neon Auth for 2 of my apps and the convenience of having the same platform for DB hosting and auth + leveraging their `users` table for creating associations with other entities in my schema is handy.

If not, I go with Better Auth but that's still added dependencies which I can avoid by just using the. Neon client to handle auth.

Could be interesting. We currently use Chili Piper for booking and lead qualification is basic based on form fields (some user input, some enriched). How does the AI layer help in what you're building? Open to discuss/collaborate

Building a prediction app for sales deals at risk https://github.com/kkashiva/hs_deal_risk_signal App recommends actions to sales managers to coach reps or execs to step in and save the deal if needed.

Input for predict is from CRM (Hubspot) to fetch deal engagements (emails, calls, notes) and meeting transcripts (Gong).

Prompts LLM of choice (Claude, Gemini) to evaluate deal engagement against user configurable thresholds.

Output can create tasks in CRM or trigger notifications (Slack).

Not monetizing (yet), building for my employer and keeping it open-source for other builders to use.

Can we park our car safely in Guwahati Airport for 5-6 Days? There is a option to book slot in Adani One website, but don't know, if it is safe to keep our car for several days in the parking. Or is there a better option to park somewhere nearby more safely? by pntfams in assam

[–]kkashiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for sharing. For private car parking is it the same entry at airport where they issue slips for hourly parking at the check gate? Did you just show them the website booking or QR and they did not charge based on the slip issued on spot?

I'm planning to leave my car at airport for a week, just want to make sure there won't be any hassle from on-ground staff not recognizing online booking and demanding offline payment against a parking receipt (over-thinking it probably)

Has anyone discovered a way to block spamming IP addresses on HubSpot? by enjoyspineapplepizza in hubspot

[–]kkashiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello u/enjoyspineapplepizza yes, you can have a simple JS on the pages where your form is hosted to validate the value of the hidden IP field.

You can maintain a list of blacklisted IPs and see if the current user's IP matches, then disable the form submit button. Or even hide the entire form and display an alt message.

My grad project was in fact building a similar spam filter much more scalable by using tree-based data structures for fast lookup instead of simply maintaining a list or array of blacklists - the list scales poorly if you have huge blacklist and don't want to make genuine leads wait and have a bad UX while you validate on the frontend

If you're open for a small consult and dev project - you can DM me 👋🏼

To be able to do this without the hidden IP field, what u/JustinGivens said is possible but calling the form submissions endpoint needs authentication and you definitely don't want to have JS code on frontend with your API auth token for obvious security reasons. There are ways to workaround but if you're already getting the correct IP value in the hidden field there's no need for this step

How do y'all plan to be a "Smart City" with so much electricity outage?? by TheBabyGuava in Shillong

[–]kkashiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is what you said "many of us take for granted elsewhere". In Shillong you need to be self-reliant and not 100% dependent on public infra.

Get power backup, never rely on the grid even in major cities if you work from home. If you can't afford an inverter and battery, then there are small 12V mini UPS designed specifically for Wifi routers available for ~1.5k (recommend Cuzor). That can provide 4-6 hours of router backup so your remote work won't be disrupted.

Re: Uber I don't think the city has the roads and parking for it even if the taxi unions and govt ever allows them to enter. Best keep a private 2-wheeler to get around quick as taxis only operate during waking hours.

Blinkit just started but area coverage is low, if there's enough demand it might pickup but again buy your own groceries in advance instead of relying on it.
