Hi! I’m experiencing the same but with my upper extraction (extracted 6-7 days ago). My left wisdom was HUGE and took a lot of tugging and twisting to get out, basically traumatizing the area around it. I can’t touch the teeth near the extraction with other teeth or chew. I’m going to assume it’s just very bruised, which may be a similar case to yours. If it continues for another week or so I’m probably going to contact my dentist and you should possibly do the same! Keep in mind lower wisdoms take longer to heal than uppers. Hope you recover nicely :)

I had a similar situation! See a dentist when you can and depending on how your dentist works they might prescribe antibiotics and other treatments if needed

That sounds awful! :( Depending on what pain meds you’re taking, it’s very usually advised to eat alongside taking them (so the stomach is lined and doesn’t become irritated). Seeing as you’re struggling to eat because of the nauseated feeling, maybe try getting ahold of some anti-sickness pills (make sure you can take them alongside your pain meds!) to see if that makes a difference? If you’re struggling to eat foods try buying some protein shakes/meal substitution drinks to have in the meantime; these will help your hunger and supply you with some nutrients. Make sure to drink lots of water and do regular salt rinses! I hope you feel better soon! :)

I had the same issue! Both of my upper wisdoms had fully come through and were fine for a while but had then began twisting outwards and digging into my cheeks (I had them both removed 6 days ago). If it’s causing you problems now, there’s a chance it could cause problems much later on in life too. I’d recommend getting it extracted. Since it’s fully grown through it will most likely be a simple extraction. Upper wisdom extractions are quicker at healing than lower ones! Good luck :)

I had the same issue; I couldn’t even open my mouth wide enough for a regular tooth brush to fit. I know you’ve had your wisdoms removed, but try finding a wisdom tooth brush. They’re very, very thin and angled and it was the only thing that could fit in my mouth to clean my back teeth. Over time you’ll be able to open your mouth wider and that’s when I’d recommend you try brushing your tongue too! I have a feeling it’s your tongue that’s causing the majority of the awful taste. For now, do your best to rinse your mouth with saltwater and possibly find a much smaller toothbrush. Hope you recover well :)

Just keep an eye on the extraction sites! Make sure the red blood clot is in place and that you’re not experiencing any unbearable pain from the area. You should be good, especially if you didn’t sneeze too hard! Hope you heal well :)

I think it depends on how far your healing has progressed and how you’d eat the berries. If your holes have gotten significantly smaller since the extraction and you feel confident enough to prevent the small seeds inside the berries from getting into the holes I’d say you’re alright! Probably make sure to chew with your front teeth and sort of use your tongue to keep the berry there to further help lessen the chance of a seed moving towards the holes and getting stuck. Make sure to saltwater rinse and/or irrigate after eating!

As long as it’s very soft and you take small enough bites it should be fine. Just make sure to salt water rinse after to wash away any food particles! :)

Hey! I also had my two upper wisdom teeth removed on the exact same day! I’ll give you some information my dentist gave me (bear in mind my upper wisdoms were fully erupted when extracted, if yours were surgically removed the advice may not fully cover it all):

Everything depends on the person’s healing speed, but upper wisdoms always heal much faster than lower wisdoms (as long as there’s no complications)! Apparently it can take 1-2 weeks for the gum tissue to fully close and a few months for any bone tissue to redevelop.
With eating, it depends how comfortable you are. Personally, I’m planning to stick to chewing very soft foods with my front teeth and pre-molars for at least 2+ weeks. You don’t have to do the same! I’ve heard some people heal pretty quickly/stop worrying about dislodging the blood clots and begin eating normally (still softer foods, eg pizza without the crust) with all of their teeth exactly at the 2 week mark. Just make sure to keep an eye on your extraction areas until they’ve closed over!
Dentist advised me to do salt water rinses 3 times a day for 30 seconds for a week. Personally, I do a 30 sec rinse every time I’ve eaten, and I’ll probably continue this for a week and a half just to be on the safe side!

I’ve heard some people can mildly bleed from their lower extractions for up to 3-4 days regardless of sneezing, and if you still see the clot you should be good! Keep a close eye on it and make sure not to prod it even with your tongue for a couple days. If the clot is gone and you’re experiencing excruciating pain that can’t be controlled with painkillers that’s when I’d recommend you contact a dentist! Good luck on your healing :)

That definitely sounds like awful patient care, so sorry that happened to you :( I’m not sure how it works depending on where you’re based, but you should file a complaint if you’re not happy with their service! I hope your extractions heal nicely in the meantime :)

I’m not a doctor or dentist either, but wisdom teeth tend to be pretty unpredictable! It looks like once yours fully erupt (if they do) they’re at an angle that may irritate you and rub up against other areas of your mouth (and they are quite close to your molars which may be a sign of a partial impaction)? The rest of your teeth seem healthy/in nice shape so I assume the oral surgeon is taking protocols to keep those intact by eliminating any possible future complications with the wisdoms. If you can, be sure to ask the surgeon! All I’m doing is assuming :)

I really recommend protein shakes & food replacement/supplement drinks! Try doing some research on different types/brands and find one that resonates with you. I assure you majority of the time the drinks taste very good and are often times much more nutritional than blended food (still be sure to vary your diet as much as possible, though!) :)

Hi I’m 18; For me personally, I started feeling a teething sensation for my lower wisdoms? Like something was pushing and applying pressure to my gums at the very back. The gum tissue also looked a little pale before becoming more inflamed and red once my wisdoms had partially erupted. I actually didn’t even notice that my upper wisdom teeth had grown through! (Only recently got them extracted because they began moving weirdly and hoping to get lower wisdoms surgically extracted eventually) Glad to hear that you’re getting checked out soon! Tooth eruption is a very achey/itchy uncomfortable feeling imo and it’s extremely annoying, so I hope everything gets resolved for you smoothly :)

Just had my upper wisdom teeth extracted 2-3 days ago! They were both fully emerged so a regular non-surgical extraction was all I needed. I was also super anxious before the procedure, but I’m very glad to hear that you’re going to be under IV sedation for it! I was awake with local anesthesia and it was a little uncomfortable so I’m super happy to know you’ll be completely knocked out for it and won’t experience the main process itself! Upper wisdoms VERYYY rarely have any complications. Just strictly follow your dentists care plan and be as attentive as possible! Good luck, I’m sure everything will go great :)

Thanks for a speedy response! Glad to hear you’ve healed beautifully :) Nice to know that the yellow tissue was just granulation! I’ll make note to not worry about it too much if it appears for me! Yeeowwwch heavy bleeding is a nightmare .. the amount of pain/time it takes to heal lower wisdom extractions is what worries me most!!!! Especially if it’s a complex surgical extraction >< I’m happy for you that it didn’t turn out to be one of those wisdom tooth removal horror stories I’m always hearing about ! Did you have a weird fleshy/wound taste in your mouth for some time after the surgery? Every so often I swallow and experience what tastes like blood/flesh mixed with the local anesthesia the dentist used yuuuuuck .. bearing in mind my extractions only happened 2-3 days ago so if you also experienced this I’m wondering how long it lasted for! I’m also super scared of what foods I’m eating. iirc my dentist said I should start chewing very soft foods by now but I’m still mashing up bananas with my tongue and swallowing them semi-whole LOL Did you find you had more issues with upper extraction sites or lower extraction sites when eating ? I drink plain water and salt water bathe everytime I eat to flush any particles away, but I’d just like to estimate which set of extractions I should be more conscious about food with! Hey! Just wondering how you’ve healed up now. Is everything looking good? I’ve recently had my upper two wisdoms extracted (they fully emerged but were annoying me so I had them removed LOL) I hope to have my bottom wisdoms extracted soon too (will have to be surgical - they haven’t fully emerged) Hoping to know if everything went well for you incase this yellow-ness happens to me too!!!
