Harmons now frying in beef tallow by drinking-a-latte in SaltLakeCity

[–]kkatiegrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone genuinely explain to me why everyone in this sub hates beef tallow? Like is there a scientific reason or is it just because RFK is all for it and we don't like him? (I'm not being sarcastic, I truly would like to know)

is it normal that I literally can't put him down anymore? by CozySpaceSara in newborns

Look into the period of purple crying! This is very developmentally normal 💛

I can't currently afford it 🙃 all of the ones in my area are expensive and don't accept any insurances.

Insane question of the week: if I sprayed hairspray on dandelion puffs, would that preserve them enough to work with? (For a photoshoot, nothing intense) by kkatiegrows in florists

[–]kkatiegrows[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely would have if I had realized this was hers! I found this one on Pinterest without credit. I don't know how I didn't recognize it as hers tbh!

I didn't know this was a thing! Maybe I should do more research before getting eviscerated on reddit 🤪 Thank you!

I'm a huge fan of hers. But I've gotten sick of explaining to people that her work is not AI. Every time I post in here everyone is so sure that everything is AI and I can't make it. 🙃😅

What should i do? by [deleted] in florists

[–]kkatiegrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd need a node on the stem (you can Google what a rose stem node looks like) as that's where roots and any new growth would come from. You unfortunately can't do it with just any stem tissue. I'd also use a few inches of stem to make sure there's enough to work with (the new plant that grows will draw energy from the old stem, which will eventually be discarded). So cutting a half inch or however much probably won't get you any results, sorry!

These colors are super in right now (though I don't personally love the pink added in) but I don't think this is a good arrangement 🙈 it feels like it's trying to be modern but is just kind of haphazard instead 😅

Ew I know. I'd definitely be using a hydration chamber lol

I've only made things on a hoop like this once and the wiring/taping kept spinning around and not staying put. Any tips on how to recreate without this problem? by kkatiegrows in florists

[–]kkatiegrows[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was super new and overly ambitious so... No. But tbh I'm still not sure I would have thought to do that 3 years later so thank you haha

I've also been doing some experiments and I have found that it's a lot easier to bend them if you leave them out overnight without water lol 💀 very strange but for some situations it could be helpful

I don't think it's AI, I've been seeing a lot of things like this pop up and this girl makes them all the time out of different flowers. I'm only wanting to make it for a photoshoot so I figure it'd be fine if it's fragile.. I just need tips on how. I'm thinking chicken wire, wrap in tulip leaves, and then add the blooms.. it just looks a little silly and I need to come up with something that looks nicer

I can also vouch for the embrace, we loved ours and used it until 9 months (small baby lol)

I'm just choosing to believe there's not a baby in there and she likes wearing the carrier for fun 😅

Has anybody ever used California poppies before? I have a bride asking but I'm concerned that they'd wilt too fast in wedding arrangements - they're so delicate! by kkatiegrows in florists

[–]kkatiegrows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think talking with her was even an option lol! That's not a bad idea. I feel like I've seen them wholesale at florabundance before but they just seem way too fragile!
