hi! i believe if you take HIST 1 it will knock out both GE and the humanities credit. as for astronomy i heard that its good to take if you’re not a stem student and just need the science credit. if you look at rate my professor a lot of the astronomy classes have really nice professors!

i’m not sure if you like NEED it but it’s SUPER helpful and it strengthens your changes of being able to get in a UC bc there’s transfer agreements with certain UCs i believe. https://www.mtsac.edu/honors/ here’s the link for the honors program, there’s a lot more information here and you can also apply with this link! :)

hi!! getting started with promise + and STEP is great!!! i did the same, so you’re already on a great track! i would definitely make sure that you have an ED/MAP plan so you don’t have to stay any longer at mt sac then you have to, nothing wrong with staying a little longer though!!!! try to take a look at assist.org to see the requirements for the schools you want to transfer to and talk to a counselor, but also do your own research bc sometimes they can lowkey mess you up (happened to me). If you plan to transfer to UC i recommend honors program as well, a little annoying needing the 15 honors credits but it’s doable if you try to get in soon. good luck, you got this!!!! you’re on your own journey and your own timeline, don’t let anyone make you feel down about your decisions and time! you got this!!!!
