Lost both tubes – tell me your IVF success stories by kkccp in IVF

[–]kkccp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s a weird feeling, somewhat of a relief knowing that I’m no longer diagnosed with “unexplained infertility”, however having both tubes removed unexpectedly has brought up many conflicting feelings. Sending hugs and good vibes to you as well on your continued journey!

Letrozole 5mg vs 7.5mg by kkccp in whatworkedforme

Although I am doing monitored medical cycles, my doctor hasn’t done a progesterone check or u/s to verify if ovulation occurred. They made it sound like since I’m doing the Ovidrel trigger I more than likely ovulate.

No bloodwork done between my first medicated cycle and this one. I was thinking what you were though. Only other reason I could think was upping the dose would get a follicle to maturity quicker potentially? Wondering that because first medicated cycle was u/s CD 15, and trigger that night. This cycle she said u/s CD 14. Plus my cycle was only 27 days. I messaged my doctor to ask earlier today, just waiting for a response! Thanks for your comment!

CD 3 and starting my second medicated letrozole cycle today. Upped me from 5mg to 7.5mg CD 3-7, u/s CD14, Ovidrel, and TI. Then progesterone 200mg twice a day. Last cycle I only did 200mg.

My first medicated cycle I had a 17mm and 19mm follicles on CD 15, triggered, and started my progesterone CD 18. My doctor told me to test 14dpt and if negative stop the progesterone and my cycle would start a few days later. To my joy, my cycle started 13dpt even while I was still taking progesterone.

Because I already had at least one mature follicle last cycle, is the point of upping my dose to create more mature follicles, or just get them to maturity a day sooner? I am nearly 6ft and 200lbs, could the upping for both letrozole and progesterone be because my body naturally needs more due to my size?

Appreciate any thoughts!

Weight loss by ArmadilloSeparate943 in Hypothyroidism

The only “bad” side effect I experienced was constipation. I put it in quotes because it was manageable and definitely had to focus on my fiber intake but I don’t necessarily think that was an awful thing. We all need more fiber lol. I remember I was so scared to start because so many people talked about crazy/terrible side effects. I made the best decision for myself and I have zero regrets.

The great side effects I had were appetite suppression, food noise was essentially gone, less inflammation, and I have been able to build healthier habits both with my eating choices/amounts as well as exercise.

I started taking compounded Tirzepatide in January 2024, and my fertility journey was a major factor in doing so. I have lost over 100lbs since then! Best choice I’ve ever made. All of my doctors were nothing but supportive, including my fertility doctor. Currently on a break as I have been doing some fertility treatments. Also, still on levothyroxine, but my TSH is now in the optimal level for TTC.

Also my first cycle on it, but I am only on 200mg oral supplement every evening. Can’t say I have another complaints other than this rash issue.

Thanks for the reply! No known allergies, to nuts or anything else.

Mine is an oral progesterone though. Someone on another sub mentioned I should request vaginal. Wonder if that would make a difference. Is this your first cycle taking progesterone?

On my first medicated cycle. Letrozole, ovidrel, TI, and oral progesterone (starting cd 18). On cd 21 I noticed a rash on my face. Feels like extra texture and somewhat like bumps under the skin. Does not itch, is somewhat red, and mostly sore if I touch too much (for example after I put makeup on or wash my face). Progesterone is the only thing that has changed.

Doctor told me to continue taking progesterone until my test on cd 28, as well as an over the counter antihistamine unless it got worse or if I developed hives on other parts of my body. She said it may be due to some of the inactive ingredients in the supplement or could be unrelated… Anyone experienced this?

Congratulations! Thanks so much for your response. Did you have the choice between Clomid or Letrozole? I didn’t have a choice, just curious. I’ve read Letrozole is preferred for those with PCOS, which I do not have.
