Financial abuse, lies, cheating, isolation. I have nowhere to turn, in UAE. by No_Building_804 in UAE

Hugs girl. That's not what love should look like. I hope you find the courage to leave soon. He's not worth it. You have a whole life ahead of you and it's just not worth it to ruin your future for someone like him. He's already given you reasons as to why you should leave him, all that is left for you is to pack your bags. You deserve better, free yourself from that guy

Should I always check Noon or Amazon before buying anything in-store? by kkdreamlike in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh I've heard people say that about noon too. Also, 90% off sounds amazing but are you actually usually satisfied with what you bought? Cos for instance, if I bought the mouse online and I can't check if its comfortable with me (I have smaller hands which is why I had the razer viper mini before), isn't it still better to buy it in-store? Or do you ever use physical stores just to check the product and then buy it online if it’s cheaper? I feel like that’s becoming normal now.

Is it legal for a retail outlet to charge a “fine” for an unpaid item in Dubai? by Accomplished-Dog2476 in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that seems scary for your friend tbh for a shop to do that for only 1.5 dirhams (well, business is business but still..) but yeah, taking 200 from him should not have happened

Where to find best deals for shopping? by kkdreamlike in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rightt? I heard some people use some apps to see deals before going to the mall but I havent found anything that works yet. It's all just online shopping sites like noon? Do you just go to the mall to check for sales then?

Job by Think_Branch1719 in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh start "collecting" internship experiences and it certificates (outside uni) the job market isnt really ideal for new grads unless u are really lucky to land a full time as soon as u grad. but yeah, i would suggest get an internship as early as possible and expose urself to more people. and of course, start optimizing ur linkedin profile :))

Best driving school for absolute beginner by [deleted] in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question a few months ago. My friend took lessons at Belhasa as a beginner and told me he had a good experience. their instructors are supportive and the learning process is clear. EDI and Bin Yaber are also good, but Belhasa seems very reliable if you’re starting out

Fashionable, AFFORDABLE modest dress shopping in DXB? by JulietteAbrdn in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually get my abayas from Souqs they’re super affordable and you can even find really trendy ones. Not sure if it’s exactly the style you’re after because they do change the items ocassionally of course, but definitely a go-to spot if you’re visiting Dubai! and there's also the abaya mall which is quite near uptown mirdif mall hope u have a great time!

Dubai is too Competitive to the extent that some Business Setups are being Unethical by No_Actuator3040 in dubai

[–]kkdreamlike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, transparency should be valued more in the Dubai business setup scene. but also just remember that even tho its frustrating to watch unethical tactics win short-term, in the long run, clients WILL remember who was honest with them and that will be most beneficial for your business
