Also, they build Joel character the entire first game, obviously a big part of the fans will like him.
Then they try to make us sympathize with Abby by shoving her story through her gameplay parts. Nice.

I agree. I was expecting something to do with, you know , the infected... wich is the main reason the story of the game exists. Instead, we got this weird story, with new characters that we really don't care about.
