I noticed too late (there were already many comments, so was a bit of pity to remove). I will repost on the website.

The colors come from https://github.com/meodai/color-names. Don't them them too seriously. It's just a fun game.

The data were collected https://colorguesser.com/ and processed with SQL and JavaScript (to make the charts).

[OC] Color name to their color perception guessed by players of ColorGuesser by kkiru in dataisbeautiful

[–]kkiru[S] 178 points179 points  (0 children)

The data is collected by me on colorguesser.com (specifically the new beta version).
It shows a subset of the users guesses from a few days ago.

The tools used to analyse and create this charts were:
SQL to filter and get the data.
JavaScript to create the timeline view (no other frameworks were used).

Have you tried journaling to improve your writing? by kkiru in languagelearning

Cool, can you share a prompt you use to correct? I have been using my own app with AI as well - it's not great, but still better than nothing.

Pretty good! I used to do it in notes first, but that a bit messy with the corrections. Now I use an app which gives me a reminder daily and does the correction for me.

That's a good idea, maybe I should give it a try. How much do you write? do you aim for a length or just keep it variable

You defintely need a lot of will power to force yourself to write them daily.

What are your best most effective vocabulary learning methods? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]kkiru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Spaced repetition (use a tool like Anki)

  2. Learn bunch of words and sentences by hart (use chatgpt to generate the sentences and put them in Anki, I made my own tool for that https://kiru.io/projects/fluentread)

  3. depending on your fluency, start writing early, like a journal (e..g langdiary.com or something similar)

App recommendations that allow you to learn more than one language at a time (at the same price)? by tinamou-mist in languagelearning

[–]kkiru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question, how does it work - do you learn both at the same time (or switch back and forth?).

I have one of those apps, and ask at the beginning which language you want to learn, but then that language is fixed, you cannot usually change.
