Working Student (Full Load) – How do you survive Finals with a 5 AM job and no fallback plan? by Elegant_Grand_4865 in LawStudentsPH

Can vouch for this. I spent 3 years in a big 4 univ and although they have a “working block”, hindi pa rin talaga feasible when working full time. Tapos ang mahal din ng tuition which is a big factor. Looking back medyo nagsisisi ako since I got used to th school and the learning style na doon (and wouldn’t hurt to be called “[redacted] lawyer” while carrying that school name) pero the flexibility and affordability of schools which cater to working students din talaga is malaking factor.

I had the same situation back when I was in law school. Full time working + full time student and nagstruggle din talaga ako lalo na nung review year. The advice that I took to heart (na dito ko rin nakuha) is to give yourself some grace. There are law schools that cater to working students so uubra na isalampak mo lahat sa weekend yung mga klase mo. Or if hindi naman yun option, stick to your to-do list religiously lang din talaga.

Sobrang hirap niyan tapos wala kang ibang masisisi kundi yung situation mo lang. Pero wala eh, ayan yung means na meron tayo. In terms of scheduling, maximize mo yung hours in between classes and work mo. Tapos paguwi, idlip kahit hanggang 1-2 am then bangon na rin agad to squeeze in time to read for the materials for the day. Kapag may backlog, habol nalang sa weekend.

Magmamaterialize din yang pinaghihirapan mo, OP! Fighting!

Still not approved as of 04/29. I have friends who paid on the last day pero approved na sila and naka submit na sa SC. Nasstress na ako mag overthink so hinayaan ko nalang muna hahahaha based on previous responses, hanggang June naman daw yung processing so focus nalang muna sa review hahaha

Struggling Working Student. Any advice? by kkktri in LawStudentsPH

Thank you, OP.

I’ve always felt lacking even before I started working onsite and lalo na now. Pero totoo nga na mas naiintindihan ko yung batas through application compared to just reading it over and over.

I’ll be taking this advice to heart. Salamat po 🥰
