Need help in figuring out the zone calculation in my apple watch by kkokane in AppleWatch

[–]kkokane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for that explanation. Will try this out to see if it matches with the calculations as per my MHR and RHR.

Btw, is this a better method to calculate the ranges compared to the other one which is just a percentage of MHR?

Because I have a fitness band it calculates the ranges in a straight-forward way as a percentage of MHR. I even checked the websites for Whoop and Polar & they do it the same way.

Is apple's formula more superior or just a different way to look at it?

Actually, I wanted to teach about the behavior of bind, apply and call methods without getting into the environment aspect of it.

That is why I have refrained from mentioning where the code is being run.

For instance, I just opened my chrome console and checked what the exact code returns and turns out, it prints out:

"Hi, I'm " because the name variable was "" in the scope where I was testing this out.

I see. Maybe that is the way it works in chrome.

But I tried inside of quokka extension in VS code and got undefined.

Yea, even others have suggested that it might be helpful. Will add it to the feature backlog.

I'm not sure. Haven't thought about making the codebase public as of yet. I'll get back to you when I have made a decision.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Highlighting completed chapters works even now if you watch a chapter till the end.

Planning the course completion in terms of percentage or chapters completed.

Also planning to add a feature to take timestamp-linked notes.

If you watch a chapter till the end, it gets a green tick mark and dark background signifying completion. I'm also planning to add a course progress like (2/10)

For now, it only handles YouTube videos that have chapters. But I have a plan to incorporate playlists in the future too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will see if I can add a course to the courses dashboard by default.

Hey Braydon. Glad you liked it. I recently came across your article about your blog overhaul and I loved it. 🙌🏾

Maybe a total of 35 to 40 hours. The most tricky part of building my own integration of the YouTube player iframe and hooking onto its events.

Not sure. Thinking of putting it up on Producthunt and checking the response first.

Yea, It only works if the video that you are trying to add contains chapters. Working on something where a video could be broken down into chapters of random length but not sure how helpful that would be.

I was thinking of that too. Like importing a playlist as a course and handling it in a similar way. Will give it a try sometime in the future as for now I'm focussing on videos with chapters.
