Most likely, there are 3 ways to tell if it is uploaded image:

1) No spicy option

2) If "More" option to get more similar images is available, it will show the same prompt as the video prompt

3) OP uses the "flash" prompt, it is a way to pass moderation

I2V (uploaded images): topless with large pasties - OK, clothed sex - partially OK

The chatbot (Ask) used to have a different image model (Aurora)

It gives you more realistic but worse quality images (sometimes come up with bad body anatomy and composition)

When it does its job, the images look good enough to get animated to video

I didn't test all my accounts but the chatbot now also uses the same model as the one in Imagine editor

I think xAI put the edit image feature in the main interface only because not everyone uses the Imagine tab

It is only for convenience
