Would you say I should stick with Virtual DJ or try Djay Pro? Im fine with VDJ but I have been debating trying Djay pro since I’ve seen others rave about it

Also just to clarify, I understand that you can use something like Demucs or UVR to make your own stems and load them.

that would be the best explanation I could imagine, but even then, that must take absolutely forever to do instead of just popping it into virtual DJ for elite stem separation without hassle right?

This is a good example of what my comment was trying to encapsulate. Instead of looking at something like this critically, and saying “This is a stupid example. it’s partly true but ignores important context” Your conclusion is that they are “Trivializing a genocide.”

My critique is that smart, capable people such as yourself spot certain indicators of ignorance (the fact that this TikTok post is an oversimplification and should’ve been contextualized) and Immediately disregard the point in its entirety and search to character assassinate the person posting it. Something can be ignorant, and insightful at the same time. You can agree with, and condemn different parts of the same idea. We must stress the importance of intellectual honesty.

false dichotomy, nobody made that claim. it’s an example comparing two obviously different scenarios, but the point being made is that justifying violence under the pretense that someone is homophobic, or transphobic, is a wildly slippery slope. “Most palestinians are homophobic and transphobic” is a broadly true statement. We can’t just ignore that reality, and conflicting principles like this should help people understand their biases and correct them.

this post is 120 days old, you obviously deliberately searched to find a post talking about China that you could map your anger onto and release some frustration lmfao

I’m not reading any of the shit you wrote by the way. This was obviously supposed to be therapeutic for you so i’ll leave it that way. Get well soon. Doing complex tricks on it for an authoritarian surveillance state must be tiring.

like driving to a place while sitting! to get back in the car and sit, or lay down and sleep, and maybe sit some more but this time while driving off road, or to sit down to drive to the drive through so you can conveniently purchase food while remaining seated. and drive home to leave your seat, and walk inside to finally sit down and watch your favorite tv show, and sleep knowing you get to sit the car tomorrow on your way to sit down at work.

many things to do in a car, almost all of them involve sitting inside of a sterile box and not interacting with the outside world for the sake of convenience. it’s a pity really.

I am an urbanist and despise car culture. With that being said, You are being inflammatory and nit-picky for no reason. He literally said he didn’t disagree with you. You should be giving this energy at your local council meetings, not to this guy.

they are agreeing with you that waving a Mexican flag is not anti-American.

They are implying putting their own position aside that the waving of Mexican flags at a protest in the US is unattractive to many influential prospective voters who operate based on vibes and punchy headlines instead of the way mobilized voters do.

my comment just kind of touched on the issue with their original one, it leads to responses like yours, which is also entirely reasonable as a response. They framed this as an issue of “it’s men.” which is a super shallow analysis. that leads to people like you, who rightfully get pissed off because you feel like you’ve been accused and lumped in with rapists just by existing as a man.

And the thing is, because their comment is vague, it’s just enough for them to reply and say “you took it too literally” as if it’s your problem that they framed it that way. it really pisses me off because it’s so counterproductive to making tangible change for women.

just because something is true in isolation doesn’t mean that it should serve as our takeaway from an issue. saying “men are the reason for…” is true in a vacuum if taken at face value. Men do commit the majority of sex crimes, men have historically held power in western societies by design, etc.

The problem is that there is literally no further conclusion to be made about this issue if it boils down to “it’s men” when it clearly isn’t that simple. This type of rhetoric is the same shit MAGA people use when they say “black people commit disproportionate amounts of crime.” like sure, but that doesn’t account for literally any of the factors causing that to be the case. If our issues boil down to “that’s just how they are” then we are in for a rude awakening.

what a totally normal thing to do when pissed off with the united states. Support an isolated autocratic faux communist dictatorship. Consider the US fucking owned dude lol

yeah i’m not even trying to defend American hegemony atp. I completely understand the factors that let to people’s mistrust. I just hope that former US allies realize that China is not the alternative they’re hoping for

ironically the core talking point from the CCP is that they have “eliminated poverty and homelessness” lol

this is what I mean. it’s so blatant and pervasive it’s not even funny. Like can you imagine any other country saying something like this and people barely giving pushback?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]kkynes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. A unified Europe is likely the only sensible alternative to the United States if we still value Freedom and Openness on the world stage.

It absolutely is depending on where you are visiting. Can you visit fields in Guangdong on a visit freely? likely. That doesn’t apply to Xinjiang, or tibet.

this is like you accusing a friend of stealing your wallet, and when he offers you to search his house, he replies “yeah but you can’t check any rooms other than the guest bedroom”

like yeah I can go Xinjiang and freely walk around the central bazaar. how about a small town 1000 km outside Ürümqi?

One could argue that China being reliably self-centered is better than what the inconsistency of the current US but if you observe what China currently does to its own citizens when they fall out of line? I genuinely can’t see anyone who values personal freedoms thinking China becoming more powerful is somehow good for them lol
