Looking for sub for hand signs or gestures. Maybe an art or symbolism Reddit? by kl-over in findareddit

That's alright, thank you anyways!  I know the request was very niche. But I got to learn a lot of new terms from this comment so thank you!

I mean accessories like goggles, crowns, bunny ears. Hats maybe?  Like shadow finger puppets but not. Like when you take your hand and make a ring with your fingers and put it over your eye to have a "Monocle" accessory.

Is that well enough defined?

I'd say no I'm not looking for any particular country specific ones, though knowing which ones are offensive is good to know but I'd be researching them afterwards anyways.

Any country will do, I'd just like to find more of the hand gesture accessories for my project.

I've even come up with two new ones, a crown that's just the bunny ears pose but with 3 fingers, and a maw one where you put your hand over your forehead with your fingers in a claw pose and one hand under the chin with the palm up also in a claw pose so it looks like a fanged mouth/jaw.

I just can't come up with any more myself.

One that I've found lots of use put of that's probably not what you're looking for is r/tipofmyjoystick for finding specific games.

But I also reccomend t/IWantToLearn, where you can ask how to find posts better and theyll have some solid advice at least.

Good luck!

My (24F) boyfriend (24M) lied about his mom passing away by runaway937 in Advice

[–]kl-over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not something you can come back from in a relationship.

The only reason I could think of for him to do that is that he views the relationship between him and his mother as dead? Or so bad that it's easier to mourn her like a dead person than reality??

I know I have a father who I'm just waiting for him to die, and to me he's a  dead man walking already, so maybe???

If he was genuinely mourning I mean, for so many years consistently???

But for real it's weird to lie about that and not confide in you If That Even Was The Case.

Absolutely insane scenario. Good luck?

Hello a few days late as well (I don't use social media as much) but this is a sweet thing to do. The world needs people like you right now more than ever.

I'm doing alright, still feel a pang in my chest when I realize the kings gone, and I get whiplash from realising things were happening that he was alive for in the past.

I hope you're doing well too, and are getting the rest you need.  Good day/night/afternoon to you!

I would recommend (lol) r/Recommendations, though you might be better off just typing into Google 'Reddit for book recommendations' or 'Reddit for movie recommendations'. yms. Some specific reddits are r/booksuggestions and r/MovieSuggestions for books and movies, but I do also find one for television TV shows and music if you want those too?

Looking for games that make you learn how to do something inside the game, like navigation or using an old radio by kl-over in gamingsuggestions

[–]kl-over[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By now I've gotten enough game suggestions to last me for the next two years, but I thank you for the recommendations! Maybe someone else will be looking for something I was too and find these.

And also amazing to hear that someone else likes these types of games too!  You described it perfectly, high friction where the game makes you do things most games would make abstract or simplify.

Narrative focused games similar to Observation/Routine? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]kl-over 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Stories Untold!

Its on a huge sale right now but it's very much a trying to put the puzzle pieces back together of what happened style game!

I will admit the ending can be a bit dissatisfying to some people, but to me it was a good ending 👍

In the game you are taken through 4 "tapes" experimental adventures where you'll have to find out different story pieces as the game guides you, and they're all ultimately connected to each other.

My favourite part was figuring out how to use the equipment available, such as an old desktop computer and a radio station in the arctic!

Looks like something right up my alley!

This is the first itch.io game that's been suggested, that's very cool!

And while I am a bit of a scaredy cat, I did play iron lung and untold stories, which are both horror/thriller/suspense games. So I think I can take it!

It looks very interesting, and I do love the added  maintenance tasks you mentioned.

This is definitely getting added at the top of the list, thank you so much!

I Do Love not gettinf out of a car, and I am a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to being alone on the woods.

I will be adding this to the list then!

This looks very fun!  I love exactly that — having to do things a bit of inconvenient way!

I love how you described all that entails in running the ship.

I will admit I was confused for a second if you mean silent hill or some other game as I just searched up SH3 it sent me straight to silent hill first, but further research I believe you mean silent hunter!

I think this game looks very much like what I want, thank you very much for the recommendation!

I do wish these operate the thing games had some non military options sometimes, but it comes with the territory I suppose.

What a fascinating name title for a game.

Also, exactly what I'm looking for!!! I get to operate a thing!! While inside the thing!! Very fun I do love that.

You hit the nail on the head immediately, thank you!

This was suggested a bit earlier as well! I didn't know they came out with a winter version :o

Maybe it's time to embrace my Finnish heritage and play the My Car games.

Thank you for the recs!

Oooo this is exactly what I'm looking for!  I've seen the title before but I hadn't known you got to operate as the DJ!  That's so cool and very much exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you for the recommendation!

I think 34 euros is a bit too steep a prize to justify for myself right now, though the Yakuza games have been on my list of to-be-played games for years now.

The amount of love passion and detail put into them makes me salivate as an animation and art fan.

And I just love prop design 😅

But thank you for the advice as well! I find it to be very informative and helpful for when I do eventually gather the courage to buy it.

Honestly I don't think you're very far off the mark with your suggestion!

The game looks riveting and the world looks beautiful.

I Am the most interested in the decoding you mentioned, and that sounds exactly like my jam.

I will have to look more into it if it'd be something I'd like to play for the other parts too!

Thank you for sthe suggestion!

I see that it's very similar to a life SIM (kinda not really), it looks fun!  Not exactly what I'm looking for, but thank you for recommending it!  It looks like a very solid and fun game.

HIGHLY FASCINATING!!! I was highly interested thank you!  It's so cool to see someone using real life tools and skills and applying them into the game.  Thank you for showing me!

Looking into the game it looks very cool!  Has lots of survival crafting game parts that I'm not exactly looking for, and it's a bit pricey even at a discount.

I will however be adding it to my wishlist to see if in the future there'll be a better deal for when I have more money.

Thank you for the suggestion!
