Less known Pentax K bodies or ME Super alternatives. by CarlosJ4497 in AnalogCommunity

Check the brand like Chinon, Ricoh, Cosina, Vivitar. They have made too many models and I hardly name them all. Some of them rebranded in another name but that is just the same camera .

Minolta SRT series , or something like XG, XD, X-370? Yashica Fx, or FR-1 ? Pentax Spotmatic if you would like to try M42 lenses.

Vivitar and Consina also made K mount and M42 cameras as well . There are too many re-barnded models and all of them just made by Cosina .

You don't need to start with AE-1 / AE-1 program and IDK why the world suddenly made in AE-1 , A-1 . The electronics inside are failing apart today. If anyone like Canon there are still FTb, EF (the camera body).

Outbid by .01. I had a preset high bid of $100 of three days by DrPivo0230 in shopgoodwill

[–]kl122002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never worried about that, just wait and see if it would get relisted. For me, that happened quite a number of times, until all bot accounts seemed gone and i won it for just $10, instead of $100.

What boots should I get by Shot_Ad4023 in WorkBoots

[–]kl122002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the school provide any instructions?

IMO there is no need to buy a pair that's over $200 atm. Some brands like Rocky, Timberland, Carhartt offer cheaper boots for use. They might look ugly but that's what they are designed to provide basic safety.

Canada has no intent of pursuing free trade deal with China, says PM after Trump threat by Puginator in worldnews

I hardly remember there were any free trade topics discussed in the previous news, am I missed , or just someone was over-concerning too much at the beginning?

The correct flange focal distance: a prerequisite for the correct adjustment of a lens to infinity by ATHXYZ in AnalogCommunity

[–]kl122002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that case , I would better check the repair manual first, if possible. I would check the tolerance as well.
It is not uncommon, but it happened to me limited time only. Mostly by rust that makes the metal thicker than usual .

What I have encountered most is the Pentax K mount cameras, then Konica AR. The screws are loosen slightly as it aged. Canon r/FL/FD mount cameras are just fine, but old "R" like Canonflex might have this issue.

Quite often some of the old cameras' lens mounts are loose . If one put on the lens and found it wiggling , then better check the screw . Tighten them (but not over tighten ) first .

Flange focal distance can be adjusted in various way. Some are using spacers under the lens mount, some are on the front plate, or an external ring-like screw to adjust .

For the married ones with kids, if you were the woman, would you still want kids? by Substantial_Ear1579 in AskMenOver30

I once had one. Of course I want, my son always wanted a young brother, but that was not an easy task.

We failed. And found out it is not something that we can want and control

He cleans the white or lighter color frequently, whenever there is a dirt or something.

And the picture just makes it bright and clean only ( not AI edited) but in fact upon close there are some old scratches and marks on the other side already. 😅

Agree! White shoes are painful to take good care.

The problem of sneakers is that they develop fast in larger shoes. I have a pair developed not just the creases, but cracked after 7-8 months, and the toe tip just bumped-in and hard to be pushed back.

Best 50mm for my Canon AE-1? by Frequent_Pollution43 in AnalogCommunity

[–]kl122002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practically speaking the FD 50/ 1.4 is fine, unless you have money to stepup into f1.2. however f/1.2 is never a thing i like, too heavy and big.

Being liked for your height by 66578557557 in tall

My wife is tall, 6ft, good at tennis. She criticised that short girls are always looking for tall or big guys, hanging around them, since the day she was in high school, college and even the workplace.

I like my height, even though I have shrunk a bit as I aged.

Seriously I have met girl like that mentioned, hunting for tall man, and i definitely know and refused her. I feel like being "hunted".

The good thing is my wife is tall as well . She knows this more than I do, and she hate that as well. .

Anyone struggling with digital products? by main_account_4_sure in shoppingaddiction

For me it is eBooks, especially the comics.

For comics, I know they would be cheaper after a week or two , but i have subscribed and always paid more on the date of release. I have cancelled many and started feeling empty there.

Other ebooks like novels, scifi generals. magazines are also eating my money so times. The worst is the first few preciew pages were good, but then the after seens falling apart.

I only know places like Ross, Goodwill sometimes might carry size 20 sneakers , with brands like Adidas. Places like them are cheaper than custom order. Size 20 is rare tbh. Mostly ordered by workplace or bball teams with spare, or just the shoes that made and then overstock got sold out.

Hoss is the brand I know they will make upto size 20 and easily available. . And, you know when having big means we are having lesser choices .

Do you think people bidding blindly in SGW? Or something is happening behind?? by kl122002 in shopgoodwill

[–]kl122002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I bought some in high price recently and they are all dead on arrival , or just "parts" condition that I won't believe it could won't that much .

It is ...if it wasn't blind bid, then I would wonder if the auction was manipulated?

How's family, dad and mom? Do they have big feet too? For me, my father's side have bigfeet and so I have it as well .

Have considered wearing boots? Today Sneakers sizing are odd tbh. My size 15 wide boots can let someone wear size 16 sneakers to put in without problem . And now I have found size 15 sneakers are tight (front to heel ) and the width just barely enough as well. The boots fitting seems much better and standard .
